As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be part of UnitedHealth Group's elite actuarial team committed to changing health care through outstanding service, valuable products, measurable savings, and health care plans designed to fit members' lives, year after year. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain actuarial models used for forecasting and tracking performance risks associated with Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans
- Understand and interpret the key drivers of health care trends, projecting expected revenue and cost
- Perform mathematical analyses and actuarial modeling to provide management with statistical findings and conclusions
- Perform quantitative analysis of actuarial, financial, utilization and costs data
- Communicate the results of your work in a meaningful way to internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field
- Preparation for, or completion of, an Actuarial exam
- Expertise in MS Excel working with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs
- Ability to quickly learn and use computer software tools effectively
- Experience working in the finance-related field of the health care industry
- Experience working in a corporate environment
- On the Actuarial exam track, having passed 1 more Actuarial exam
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
