Adam Galinsky's recent talk at Columbia Business School's BRITE Conference resonated deeply with me. He emphasized that inspiring leaders aren't born, they're made through intentional actions and behaviors.​ Galinsky outlines three core roles that define inspirational leadership:​ 1. Visionary: Articulating a clear, optimistic future that provides meaning. 2. Exemplar: Modeling the values and behaviors you expect from others. 3. Mentor: Empowering and uplifting others through guidance and support.​ These roles align with fundamental human needs: purpose, integrity, and belonging.​ In my experience, the most effective leaders are those who reflect on their actions, learn from missteps, and consistently strive to better themselves and their teams.
