You don’t win a city-wide project on the strength of just one feature. You win it by proving you've got everything they need, and that you can run an entire city as one system. Tel Aviv issued an RFP to all major vendors and after a lengthy review, they selected the TIBA X60 hardware line together with the SPARK Parking Platform as the backbone for modernizing their municipal parking network. The scope is significant. More than 60 garages, with new facilities added each year. The project includes: ✅ Upgrading hardware city-wide ✅ Modernizing the command center ✅ Migrating the entire operation to SPARK ✅ Customized developments, deep software integrations, and strict IT-security compliance A city of this scale can’t rely on disconnected tools. They need a unified, resilient ecosystem — one platform, consistent operations, predictable performance, and room to grow. At the beginning of any new year you tend to hear the same question: What's coming next? But talking with my recent guest, and futurist Tamar Kasriel, really made me think, as she reframed that question entirely. Tamar doesn't predict the future. She helps people and companies get ready for it. It was her distinction between passive readiness and active readiness nailed it for me. Passive readiness is waiting. Active readiness is training, adapting, staying open to being wrong. Harder than it sounds. She calls it "thoughtful, willed, intentional optimism." Not toxic positivity. Not ignoring the house burning down. But choosing to believe that agency still matters. That what you do next still counts. As she puts it: "Pessimism has no predictive advantage." For sure 2026 is going to be uncertain. That's not a prediction, that's just... the water we're swimming in. The question is whether we meet it with rigidity or readiness. Tips for Israeli founders looking to raise a pre-seed in 2026 🇮🇱🚀 1. Speed and execution matters more than polish Show early signals of customer "obsession," not just "interest." Traction and data are now weighted more heavily than market size. 2. Narrative > numbers (at pre-seed) Show a sharp wedge, clear why-now, and why-you. Early traction helps, but clarity wins. 3. AI is everywhere but differentiation isn’t “AI-powered” is table stakes. Your edge should be data, distribution, workflow, or cost curve. 4. Sell the insight, not the market size Huge markets are easy to claim. A non-obvious insight is harder to copy. What did you figure out early that most have overlooked? 5. Bridge the Tel Aviv-to-US Gap Early US funds are moving upstream into the Israeli pre-seed stage. The "entry fee" is a clear North American Go-To-Market strategy baked. If you aren't thinking global on Day 1, you're invisible. The capital is there… but the "flight to quality" is at an all-time high. The bar for Pre-Seed today looks a lot like the bar for Seed three years ago.
