The West Virginia Department of Human Services was honored to meet with the Restore Hope Team and the Governor's Office to discuss a shared mission of safely decreasing the number of children in foster care across West Virginia. The WV Department of Human Services, Bureau for Behavioral Health, and the West Virginia Perinatal Partnership have launched the WV Perinatal Psychiatric Access Program (WV PPAP). This new initiative strengthens mental health care for pregnant and postpartum individuals by connecting healthcare providers with perinatal psychiatrists for consultation, guidance, and referrals.
