Last weekend, 25 of them were brought together for the inaugural WePresent Spring Show in London, a three day event open to the public, designed to showcase exciting new talent in the creative industry. 3000 of you visited. Our little corner of #DesignWeekMexico. Last week, our arts platform WePresent brought 2 exhibitions and a network of 50+ artists and designers together for an event series free to the public. Why? To spark dialogue and celebrate Mexico City’s role as a global cultural capital. Here's what went down 👇 🇲🇽 A three-day program of talks and workshops exploring the state of contemporary creativity from different perspectives. Speakers include Liv Siddall, Sally Montes of AKI AORA SL, photographer Dorian Ulises López Macías. Ana Paula Ruiz Galindo, Alejandro Olávarri Pons from BOTÉO, designer Elise Durbecq, Regina Pozo, Editor-in-chief Holly Fraser, fashion designer Roberto Sánchez and Jackie Crespo of Can Can Press. 🇲🇽 An art and photography exhibition bringing together 15 artists from different parts of the world offering perspectives that weave between the personal and the political. Proceeds from the sale of prints went to the artists and nonprofit Ruta del Castor. 🇲🇽 A solo exhibition of never-before-seen work by Dorian Ulises López Macías, whose work has become an essential archive of Mexico’s queer community. 🇲🇽 A design showroom that highlights the diversity and innovation of contemporary Mexican design. Featuring pieces by Bandido Studio, Aprdelesp, KAUANI, Montserrat Piña, txt.ure, among others. 🇲🇽 A daily art paper designed by Can Can Press featuring limited edition cover artwork by 3 artists Edel Rodríguez (MOLA), Ana Leovy and Bony Ramirez, plus contributions from writer Ana Karina Zatarain and Inward x Chris Corsini.
