Happy Earth Day! 🌎 Have you ever thought about soccer in terms of sustainability? Everyday you produce more waste than the weight of your soccer bag 😲 As a reminder, we get to play the beautiful game because of this beautiful Earth. Whenever you leave the pitch, be sure to pickup any trash and recycle whenever possible. #HappyEarthDay

Earlier today, Charleston-based US Club Soccer staff members completed the American Red Cross: Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course. The day was filled with educational videos, hands-on exercises, real-world scenarios and even some team bonding. The completion of this training reiterates our commitment to healthy and safety as one of the pillars of Players First. It is important to be prepared should emergency situations arise. We encourage US Club Soccer members to take First Aid/CPR/AED training courses where available.

US Club Soccer remains committed to improving and supporting the game through referee development. At the recent id2 National Training Camp in Chula Vista, a group of referees participated in a course with access to mentors and top professionals. This experience, which was financially covered by US Club Soccer, included fitness testing, classroom and field sessions, and personal evaluations with real-time feedback. Enhancing referee education across the country is a key pillar of the Players First philosophy and will play a significant part in the expansion of the id2 program.
