Yesterday, The House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee officially passed mark-up of the Surface Transportation Reauthorization Bill, The Build America 250 Act. This bill includes key industry victories: - $750 million for truck parking expansion - Fair Highway Trust Fund contributions from EVs and hybrids. - Recognition of hair testing in DOT drug & alcohol screening programs These are meaningful wins for the truckload industry. TCA applauds Chairman Sam Graves and Ranking Member Rick Larsen for their bipartisan leadership and looks forward to continuing work toward final passage of a long-term transportation bill that strengthens safety, infrastructure, and freight mobility nationwide.
