Last week, we welcomed over 400 influential women to The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach for the fourth annual Women's Power Breakfast presented by Women's Power Series. Founded by Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos and Sophia Kanavos, this energizing half-day conference brought together leaders and founders across industries to exchange ideas and explore how community impact and innovation continue to shape the future of female leadership.   In alignment with the 2026 International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain, the morning highlighted the impact of investing in people and purpose. Guests enjoyed a breakfast curated by José Andrés Group, followed by conversations on the evolution of luxury hospitality, the rise of purpose‑driven brands, and the growing influence of women in sports leadership. With proceeds supporting Women of Tomorrow, the event reinforced a shared commitment to mentorship and opportunity for the next generation. A heartfelt thank you to Dayssi and Sophia, the Women of Tomorrow organization, and the moderators, speakers, and attendees whose participation contributed to a meaningful gathering.

As Art Deco Weekend brings renewed energy to the district, we’re proud to be part of the city’s living design story rooted in history, craftsmanship, and the enduring glamour of South Beach. Designed by legendary architect Morris Lapidus, our building first opened in 1953 as the DiLido Hotel, becoming an instant landmark of mid-century Miami Beach glamour. Today, we’re proud that the original lobby design remains beautifully intact, welcoming guests with the same sweeping curves and cinematic sense of arrival that defined the era. At the center of it all, Lapidus Bar shines as a tribute to our architectural roots, with metallic wall panels and a bronze palm-leaf light fixture that radiates pure South Beach elegance. More than 40 team members embraced this opportunity to strengthen their skills, supporting both personal growth and professional excellence. This week, we honor the heart of our hotel: the exceptional Ladies and Gentlemen of our Housekeeping team. Their dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence ensure every guest experience is truly extraordinary.
