Strong pre-production is the backbone of every successful event. Anthony Ruffino, Production Supervisor, is one of the leaders making that happen at Tallen every day. Anthony's career in live events spans over two decades. He started at La Salle University studying communications and working with the college television and radio station, then spent six years freelancing across television and live event production. He transitioned into hotel AV, where he quickly advanced to Lead Technician and was soon after promoted to Director of Event Technology at Hyatt Regency Princeton, overseeing the property's entire AV operation. Since joining Tallen in 2017, Anthony has played a central role in shaping how the company approaches pre-production. As a Production Coordinator for six years, he built CAD drawings, production schedules, and fire marshal documentation for Tallen's sales and technical teams. He also became a specialist in video and audio editing, led virtual event production efforts, and served as site administrator for Tallen's web-based file-sharing platform, all while stepping onsite as a Technical Director and Content Manager when needed. His promotion to Production Supervisor in 2024 expanded that impact. Anthony now leads a growing pre-production team that supports planning and execution across general sessions, expos, virtual programs, and dinner meetings nationwide. A national sales meeting for 1,200 attendees requires precision, creativity, and the ability to adapt when plans change overnight. Tallen recently produced a multi-session program at the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center in San Diego. The event featured one major general session, four breakout rooms, live audience polling, and a fully custom content package highlighted by an Olympic-themed opening ceremony. The centerpiece of the main stage was a ground-supported LED display measuring 120' wide by 19' tall, designed to immerse the audience and amplify the client's message across every session. When a transformer failure caused an unexpected power disruption overnight, Tallen's onsite team reprogrammed affected systems and ensured production was fully operational before the next morning's session.
