At SiPhox Health, our mission is to tackle the problem of chronic diseases by enabling new Direct-to-Consumer health and wellness solutions. With six out of ten Americans living with chronic conditions, we’re dedicated to revolutionizing health diagnostics with next-generation infrastructure for home use. SiPhox was founded by MIT scientists Michael Dubrovsky and Diedrik Vermeulen to integrate microfluidics and biochemistry with Silicon Photonics to miniaturize protein and hormone testing. As we work on building advanced home diagnostic devices, we are creating the most comprehensive at-home test kit on the market, providing valuable health insights and actionable plans to help achieve health goals. There’s a question from Yale philosopher L.A. Paul that’s been stuck in my head for months: If you lived in a world where people could become vampires — trading sunlight and food for timeless energy and strength — would you do it? Absurd, sure. But the real question is deeper: how do you choose an experience that will fundamentally change who you are, when you can’t predict who that “new you” will be? I’ve been living a version of that question for the past few years — through technology, biology, and a set of experiments that started as curiosity and catalyzed into transformation. It began at SiPhox Health, working on the edge of bio-tracking and human performance. But somewhere along the way, the experiment turned inward. I didn't expect jumping blind into the preventative health crater would turn me into a different person with new abilities. Let’s just say: I didn’t become a vampire. But I did learn what it means to engineer your own transformation—and how data can reveal parts of yourself emotion often hides.
