“Sweetheart, we’re going to rebuild.” In the heart-rending aftermath of September 11, 2001, a 25-year partnership was forged in a moment of profound conviction. Mary Ann Tighe recalls running into Larry Silverstein just hours after the attacks. Only seven weeks into his ownership of the World Trade Center, and amidst the chaos of the city, Larry’s response was immediate and unwavering. It wasn’t just a promise to rebuild a site; it was a commitment to the future of New York City itself. Hear a story of leadership that defined an era. From Italy to Hell’s Kitchen 🇮🇹 ➡️ 🏙️ When Luca di Pietro came to the U.S., he missed the simple rhythm of Italian life: morning espresso, a quick lunch, pasta with friends at night. So he brought it with him. Now open at 620 W 42nd St, @Tarallucci e Vino is serving up all-day Italian goodness, from fresh pastries and coffee to handmade pasta, all from scratch. The space is small and almost entirely glass, with Silver Towers rising around it on all sides. An elegant bar anchors the center, flanked by outdoor seating, indoor tables and a booth tucked into a wallpapered corner. There are not many walls, which turns out to be the point. The place is literally transparent, an open invitation to anyone walking by to come in off the street. Photos by Julia Veith Click the link below to read more: https://lnkd.in/g6BrHyRs
