What If Healthcare Felt More Like Hospitality? Thank you to Eugene Borukhovich and Jim Joyce for having Seen Health co-founders Xing S. and Yang Su on #TheShot — as both the first brick-and-mortar healthcare innovators and the first twins featured on the show. In the conversation, Xing and Yang shared the story behind Seen Health: leaving high-growth tech careers to build the kind of care they would want for their own grandparents. A few themes stood out: 🤵 Why hospitality belongs in healthcare. Inspired by the Ritz-Carlton philosophy of “Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen,” Xing explains how Seen Health is designed around dignity, respect, and attention to detail are embedded throughout the Seen Health experience. 🏎️ Why the first center is the “Roadster.” Yang compares Seen Health’s first center to the Tesla Roadster: a model built to prove what great care can look like today while laying the groundwork to scale it more affordably tomorrow. 🌱 Why founders should lean fully into who they are. Xing spoke about being “unapologetically yourself” as a founder — and how building an opinionated company helps attract the right people and creates the focus needed to do hard things well. ⚙️ How technology should be designed to serve in care delivery. Yang breaks down how Seen’s technology stack supports a vertically integrated “mini health system,” from sensors that prevent unsafe wandering to AI tools that take the drudgery out of compliant charting. ⬇️ Watch or listen to the full episode in the comments — and don’t miss the final question from Jim!

In this episode of #TheShot of #DigitalHealth Therapy, Jim Joyce and I sit down with Yang Su and Xing S., co-founders of Seen Health. This is the first time EVER we had twin founders on the show so was fun to find out who actually came out first and what it takes to run a business together. The two brothers were "tech & consultancy royalty", who had never touched a medical record until their own family needed help. Now, they are proving that the biggest innovation in healthcare isn't a new algorithm (though their platform is a key ingredient to scale); it's a "one-stop-shop" center where a doctor, a physical therapist, and a hot meal are all down the same hallway and a community are all a big part of being "seen". The 4 Pillars of the Seen Health Thesis: -The "Roadster" Framework: Why you must start with the $100k-per-year, high-frailty "Roadster" model to build the infrastructure that will eventually drive costs down to $1k-per-month for everyone. -The Operator’s Edge: Why having "outsider" eyes allowed them to see that 70% of senior care is actually logistics, transportation, and nutrition - not just medicine. -The Focus Trap: Why they turned down "easy" revenue from selling their software to stay "unapologetically" focused on the elderly patient in front of them. -Hospitality as Medicine: Borrowing the "Ritz Carlton" philosophy to ensure seniors feel "seen" rather than processed by an institution. Tune in - links are in comments Fun mentions as always: Erik Milster, Elon Musk, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., Tesla, Uber, Salesforce, Google, Coursera, Andrew Ng

Thank you to Joyce Famakinwa and Home Health Care News for featuring Seen Health and our early journey with a AI-enabled PACE model. Less than a year into operations, it’s encouraging to see our work reflected in outcomes like a 77% reduction in acute hospital bed days and participant Net Promoter Score of 82 — a testament to the dedication of our team and the strength of coordinated, community-based care. https://lnkd.in/gq9xb_Dv

🌟One year later: Seen Health’s AI-native PACE model is setting a new bar for what’s possible serving Medicaid and Medicare members🌟 A year ago, we announced Seen Health broadly to the world. We’ve been working hard to build our full care team, enroll frail seniors as participants, innovate our agent-based workflows, and deliver much-needed care to communities in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles. Early results we’ve seen: 📉 Achieved better clinical outcomes: 77% fewer acute hospital bed days and 49% fewer hospital admissions vs. the PACE industry average 💚 Earned the trust of our seniors: 97% of participants would recommend Seen Health to friends or family, and 29% of new leads come from participant referrals 📈 Grown rapidly, tracking to serve 150 seniors by year-end with a 4x higher conversion rate to enrollment at a 40% lower cost of acquisition, powered by our AI agent-based workflows 🍜Created a beloved community: Our participants seek out the food, activities, and camaraderie in our center. We see <2% no-show rates at our center. Even our staff has a 97% satisfaction rate and exceptional net promoter scores for Seen Health as an employer. None of this happens by accident. Orbit, our AI-driven PACE operating system, automates busywork so our Interdisciplinary Team can focus on what matters most: being present with participants and families. We’re not stopping here. We’re excited to fuel this momentum with the appointment of Steve Valderrama as Seen Health’s new Chief Operating Officer. Steve’s track record scaling senior-focused care organizations at Welcome Health and DaVita will help us bring this model of dignified, culturally-centered care to more communities. We’re building the kind of care we’d want for our own families — and we’re just getting started. Check out the full update here. https://lnkd.in/gXH6Ejkn

We are fortunate to partner with like-minded investors at Pivotal Ventures who catalyze our vision to bring exceptional community-focused care to underserved seniors. In last week's Forbes article, our CEO and co-founder, Xing S. described the incredible support we receive from the Pivotal team: “We share the same passion for a caregiving moonshot: ensuring every older adult can age comfortably and safely at home. In this current moment of significant policy shift around Medicaid and increased pressures on states, it’s invaluable to have access to Pivotal’s guidance and connections to policy leaders as we navigate uncharted waters.” https://lnkd.in/ePYp65M2

🚀 Seen Health showcases AI-native PACE care at 2025 NPA Conference 🎉 The Seen Health team shared how our AI-native approach is transforming care planning, delivery, and measurement at last week's National PACE® Association conference. We joined 1300+ PACE leaders in NYC to showcase our learnings and a glimpse of the future. Across five sessions, we demonstrated what's possible when you combine PACE's unique advantages – interdisciplinary care, full risk alignment, dedicated facilities – with world-class technology. Orbit, our AI-native operating system, isn't just digitizing workflows but reimagining care delivery. "You guys are so far out there, in a way that no one in PACE is." - Lo Fu Tan, MD,MS,FCFP,FAAFP, San Diego PACE CMO 🤖 AI & Automation: We're deploying agents across every department: managing leads for Outreach, running analytics for Operations, verifying medications for Nursing. We spotlighted our make-a-thon empowering frontline staff to prototype AI solutions in hours, and even live-coded a referral management tool on stage. 🏠 Home Care Optimization: Our PCP and OT demoed integrated workflows calculating home care hours in real-time, lightening the load for families and coordinators while optimizing utilization. 👥 Multiplayer IDT: Our Center Director showed reimagined IDT meetings: teams collaborate live on shared "desks", with notes flowing to patient charts and team inboxes. 90-minute huddles now take 15 minutes. 📚 Startups Lessons: Nine months after opening, our rapid growth is supported by AI agents that cross-check CMS submissions, automate PMPM mapping, and catch revenue leakage. These automations help us focus on what matters most. 🌏 Community Care: Seen Health reflects the community we serve: Mandarin/Cantonese speaking staff, familiar meals, and care honoring family involvement without overburdening caregivers. The opportunity is massive. PACE serves 85,000 seniors today but can serve millions more. We're proving technology can help scale quality care without losing humanity. Grateful to the NPA community for its collaborative spirit. See you in Denver in 2026! 🏔️ #SeenHealth #SeniorCare #HealthcareInnovation #PACE #GrandOpening #SanGabrielValley #CommunityDrivenCare #AINativeClinic
