Revs Museum, an 80,000-square-foot space in Naples, Florida showcases more than 120 historically significant, road-ready automobiles. Their Archives and Research center in Fort Myers houses one of the world’s most comprehensive automotive knowledge collections. Through its active collection, world-class archives, research, media, education, and storage facilities, Revs guides how automobiles are studied, understood, and carried responsibly into what comes next. We are proud to share that Revs Institute has been named the 2026 NAAMY Educational Program of the Year for our RevsEd V8 Engine Rebuild course. This recognition affirms Revs Institute’s position as the premier hands-on educational resource for preserving and transmitting automotive engineering knowledge. What sets RevsEd apart is its uncompromising approach: a 12-session immersive program where participants take a V8 engine from complete disassembly through precision measurement, component analysis, mechanical systems, and full reassembly — culminating in the powerful moment they start the engine they rebuilt themselves. Classes are intentionally limited to just four students, ensuring depth, mentorship, and mastery rather than scale. This isn’t traditional shop class. It’s rigorous, experiential engineering education that connects the next generation to the craftsmanship, problem-solving, and technical legacy that define automotive history. “We are committed to preserving knowledge, not just objects,” said Mike Barbone, Director of Education. “This award reflects our belief that the most powerful way to honor automotive heritage is to give people the skills and understanding to keep it alive.” Looking ahead, we are building a structured RevsEd ecosystem through strategic partnerships with colleges and universities. By bridging intensive hands-on mechanical training with formal academic pathways, we are creating new opportunities for research, curriculum development, and cross-disciplinary innovation that will sustain automobile knowledge for decades to come.
