I had the absolute honor of moderating a panel highlighting mental health in the construction and mission critical space at last Thursday’s sold out WiMCO Oregon & SW Washington Chapter annual keynote event at the beautiful Anaterra Winery. Grateful to our speakers Cathal Quinn, Colleen Cadell, and Taylor B. Harkins, sHRBP, SWP, ELC for their vulnerability and speaking their truth. They reminded us of the most important lessons we often forget: Being yourself is enough. You are not alone. Help is always available. We often talk about workplace safety in terms of physical hazards, but it’s time to expand that definition: Getting home safe every day should also include mental health.
