Excited to share that I’ll be part of a panel at VETS26 this year. After more than three decades in federal service—including time leading within the VA—I’m looking forward to offering a perspective I didn’t fully have before: what the contracting relationship looks like from both sides of the table. Making the transition from federal executive to industry has given me a new appreciation for: - How companies interpret government signals - Where communication breaks down between agencies and contractors - And what it really takes to deliver outcomes in today’s environment At VETS26, I’ll be sharing candid insights on where those perspectives align—and where they don’t—and what both sides can do to work better together. VETS has always been one of the most important forums for the veteran-owned small business community, and I’m genuinely excited to be part of the conversation this year. If you’ll be there, I’d love to connect. #VETS26 #GovCon #Veterans #VA #Leadership #FederalContracting #SmallBusiness

  • PingWind team member Tim King, MsEM, CISSP, PMP was in Chicago last week participating as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of CompTIA’s SecurityX certification. This exclusive workshop brings together cybersecurity professionals from across government and industry to ensure certification content reflects current operational requirements and evolving real-world threats. The CompTIA SecurityX exam is one of the highest-level cybersecurity certifications offered by CompTIA and certification validates a professional’s ability to design and build secure enterprise systems, handle advanced threat detection, response, and risk management. PingWind highly recommends CompTIA certification as a proven standard for validating advanced cybersecurity expertise and preparing professionals to defend enterprise environments against today’s most complex threats. Tim brings more than 25 years of cybersecurity experience spanning both federal and contractor environments, including service in senior cybersecurity leadership roles at the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) level. At PingWind, we support our team members contributing to initiatives that help advance the cybersecurity profession and strengthen the workforce. CompTIA’s SME workshops bring together experienced practitioners to help ensure cybersecurity certifications remain aligned with real-world operational demands. PingWind values opportunities for our team to support initiatives that enhance cybersecurity readiness across government and industry. #CompTIA #CompTIASecurityX
