What began 80 years ago as a one-person firm in Houston has grown into a nationwide network of architects, engineers, designers, and support professionals connected by a shared commitment to collaboration, problem-solving, and design excellence. From the legacy established by George F. Pierce, Abel B. Pierce, Jim Goodwin, Earle Alexander, Jack Linville, and many others to the teams shaping communities today across 12 offices, PGAL’s story has always been driven by people. As we kick off our 80th anniversary celebration, we’re honoring the individuals, projects, and partnerships that continue to shape who we are. #PGAL80 #PGAL #Architecture #Engineering #Design #Since1946

A major milestone has been reached at LAX with the topping out of the Terminal 4 Modernization Project. The placement of the final structural beam marks the completion of substantial structural construction for the $1.6 billion redevelopment, celebrated by project teams and crews who signed the beam before it was lifted into place. PGAL is leading the design for the project in partnership with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and American Airlines. The modernization effort will deliver a new unified departures hall, expanded passenger amenities, upgraded concessions, and improved operational efficiency while keeping the terminal active throughout phased construction. “This milestone reflects the tremendous collaboration and dedication of the entire project team,” said PGAL Principal Diana Payne. “The new Terminal 4 will transform the passenger experience while supporting the continued evolution of one of the world’s busiest airports.” For more information, visit: https://lnkd.in/gu-2NcxM #PGAL #LAX #AviationDesign #Infrastructure #AirportDesign

Earlier this week, a groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of the $48 million Northside High School Area Drainage and Paving Project in Houston’s Near Northside community. Community members and elected officials, including Houston Mayor John Whitmire and Harris County Precinct #2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia, gathered to celebrate the milestone. As civil engineer for the project, PGAL is helping deliver improvements that will reduce flood risk and enhance mobility through reconstructed streets, upgraded storm sewer infrastructure, sidewalks, and utility enhancements. “The groundbreaking marks an important milestone for the Northside community,” said PGAL Principal Costas Georghiou, PE. “These improvements are designed to enhance drainage performance, strengthen mobility, and support long-term resilience for the surrounding neighborhood.” For more information, visit https://lnkd.in/gYvbbTq9 #PGAL #CivilEngineering #Houston #Infrastructure

Congratulations to the Village of Royal Palm Beach on the groundbreaking of their Recreation Center Expansion and Renovation. Shovels hit the ground last week, marking the start of construction on a major investment in the community’s future. The approximately $20 million project will expand and renovate the existing facility, adding 25,000 square feet of new space, including a gymnasium and additional program and meeting areas to support the Village’s growing population. Delivered through a progressive design-build approach with our partners at Kaufman Lynn Construction, the project will be carefully phased on an active campus to keep programs running and minimize disruption for residents throughout construction. PGAL is proud to be part of the team bringing this next phase of the Recreation Center to life and to help create a space that will continue serving the community for years to come. #PGAL #PGALBocaRaton #RecreationDesign #CommunityDesign #CivicArchitecture #PublicFacilities #ParksAndRecreation
