Farm-Fresh Taste Grows Here.™ 🌱 Organic snacks & meals with no added sugar. Trusted by parents, loved by little ones.

About us

In 2015, Cassandra Curtis founded Once Upon a Farm along with co-founder Ari Raz to create more nutritious, convenient, and delicious baby food options for her daughter that weren’t available in her local supermarket. After creating her own recipes and selling the first cold-pressed organic baby food at retail—she joined forces with industry legend and former Annie’s CEO John Foraker and actress, philanthropist, and mom of 3, Jennifer Garner, to create the next generation childhood nutrition company. We are now sold in more than 25,000 stores nationwide and online with a growing product portfolio of organic, farm-fresh snacks and meals for babies and big kids!

Once Upon a Farm would not be here without everyone in this photo: my inspiration, my why, my “village.” To my three girls: You inspire me every day and are the reason we keep setting the bar higher in our mission to shape the future of food. Thank you for being our most loyal consumers since day 1! To my husband, Steven: Thank you for being my biggest champion, the best father, and for being the rock for our family. I’m honored to be able to highlight my “village” and share more about the importance of support through Once Upon a Farm’s campaign with The Female Quotient. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gtNUmPvN

  • Come behind the scenes of our IPO! In February 2026, Once Upon a Farm became one of the honored few Public Benefit Companies to have gone public. From day one, our mission has been to drive systemic improvement in childhood nutrition for a happier, healthier, and more equitable world. As a publicly traded company, we are doubling down on that mission—expanding our resources, reaching more families, and continuing to shape the future of food.

  • It takes a village to be a parent. From partners to in-laws, neighbors to nannies, teachers to colleagues, coaches to therapists, support looks different for everyone. We've partnered with The Female Quotient to help reframe the narrative around working parents and highlight what building a "village" can look like—both at home and in the workplace. Because becoming a parent isn't a tradeoff; it's an advantage. Read More: https://lnkd.in/eXSe29n6

Working moms don’t do it alone. For me, it takes a village and vulnerability. The idea of a “village” looks different today than it used to. It’s expansive, unique to the individual, and often a carefully coordinated mix of family, friends, neighbors, caregivers, colleagues (Thank you Once Upon a Farm!) and even strangers. It’s powerful . As leaders, we play a role in building that village, too. Leading a team isn’t just about on the job performance, it’s about modeling balance, grace, and creating an environment where others feel supported to do the same. Because when working moms are supported, they don’t have to choose where to show up, they get to fully show up, everywhere that matters. Grateful for this shared vision and partnership with The Female Quotient.

Being a working parent isn’t easy. There’s a lot to juggle: meetings, doctor visits, extracurriculars, healthy food on the table…and somehow still being present both at work and at home. The phrase “it takes a village" would be cliché if it weren’t so true. And for many women, the stakes are higher. The motherhood penalty can reduce pay by 5% to 20% per child, while also impacting how mothers are perceived at work. Here’s the shift: most employees don’t see parenthood as a setback. Research from The Female Quotient and Ipsos, in partnership with Once Upon a Farm, found that 69% of parents say parenthood actually accelerates careers and leadership. In other words, it’s not a tradeoff; it’s an advantage. And when parents are supported, they step up. That support shows up in many forms. Since 2015, Once Upon a Farm has reimagined children’s food with organic, refrigerated options that are as nutritious as they are convenient; one more way to support the modern parenting village. Parenthood is one of the most demanding roles there is. It’s also a powerful training ground for leadership: empathy, patience, multitasking, flexibility, organization, communication, prioritization, accountability, and crisis management…to name a few. Research from The Female Quotient and Ipsos, in partnership with Once Upon a Farm, found that 81% of all employees (parents and non-parents alike) say that caring for children is leadership, and our workplaces should reflect that reality. The leaders shaping organizations are often navigating bedtime negotiations and business negotiations. This isn’t about doing it all. It’s about doing what matters. And what matters, at home and at work, is leading with care. The Female Quotient and Once Upon a Farm partnered to reframe the narrative, highlighting what it really takes to build a “village,” from workplace policies to everyday support like access to nutritious, convenient food for families. Such a cool experience to have my family involved in the O’Farm x Female Quotient collaboration. There’s something powerful about working for a company that truly understands people don’t stop being humans when they log into work each day. I’m so proud of my team and our leadership who have helped build such an amazing culture in such an intentional way. One of the things I’ve appreciated most about joining O’Farm is the intentional culture that has been built around supporting parents and employees as whole people. Because whether you’re a parent or not, everyone will eventually need empathy, flexibility, understanding, and support during different seasons of life. Benefits matter. But what matters even more is the philosophy behind them. At O’Farm, that looks like: • Paid parental leave for all parents • Remote-first work • Flexible hours across time zones • Unlimited PTO and Paid Volunteer Time • A culture that genuinely encourages people to show up fully both at work and at home As a People & Culture leader, I believe companies that prioritize people in this way are helping redefine what modern workplaces can and should look like. These aren’t just “nice to have” benefits anymore — they are foundational to building sustainable, high-performing cultures. Becoming a dad also changed my perspective in a major way. It deepened my empathy, reshaped how I think about leadership, and made me push even harder for policies and cultures that recognize employees are balancing real lives outside of work. No company gets everything perfect, but organizations willing to invest in people in meaningful ways are setting a new standard for the future of work. Appreciate the continued conversation around this topic from The Female Quotient and our family being highlighted in the article. https://lnkd.in/giYzh6Du
