More than 1,100 supporters gathered at the 17th Annual CHOC Children's Gala presented by Pacific Life and the Pacific Life Foundation to help advance pediatric healthcare throughout Southern California. It was a glamorous night under the stars of Orange County! Murray Company was proud to host the ISPE Greater Los Angeles Area Chapter technical program, “Transition from Construction to CQV”.   With more than 50 industry professionals in attendance, the event brought together leaders from across the life sciences industry to discuss one of the most critical phases of project delivery: the transition from construction into commissioning, qualification, and validation.   The panel featured valuable perspectives from experts representing owners, contractors, designers, and automation specialists, with discussions focused on: • Improving communication and coordination during project turnover • Managing risk and compliance during startup and validation • Lessons learned from complex life science projects • Best practices for achieving a smoother transition into operations   Following the panel discussion, attendees continued the conversation during a networking happy hour with industry peers and partners from across Southern California’s life sciences community. This year’s CHOC Foundation Classic raised a record-breaking $1 million for pediatric healthcare—an incredible testament to the strength and generosity of our community. We’re proud to play a small part in something so meaningful, and to partner with industry leaders like McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. and Jacobs in delivering state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. The Murray Company San Diego team is excited to partner with California State University San Marcos and C.W. Driver Companies. on the new Science and Engineering Building, a 3-story, 70,000 SQ FT facility designed for advanced laboratory research and classroom instruction.  To-date, we have completed the underground plumbing and once the building is erected, we’ll proceed with the remaining plumbing scope.    As a specialty contractor with extensive experience delivering complex higher-education facilities, our team will soon begin the plumbing scope supporting state-of-the-art teaching labs and collaborative learning environments where the next generation of engineers and scientists will develop their skills.     We’re proud to help bring another impactful higher-ed facility to life and look forward to watching this project take shape.   #highereducation #plumbing #undergroundplumbing #fullservicecontractor #sandiego #unionstrong #experience #safetyfirst 

Murray Company was proud to attend the 2026 ASC Regions 6 & 7 Student Competition in Reno — one of the premier construction management and recruiting events in the West. Over three intense days, top students tackled a real-world project challenge, showcasing the technical skill, teamwork, and leadership that define the outlook of our industry. Our NorCal team had the privilege of serving as judges for the Mechanical Program in partnership with the NorCal Mechanical Contractors Association. Congratulations are in order for all finishers, in all categories and a special shoutout to California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo for taking 1st and 2nd place and California State University, Chico on their 3rd place finish!
