  • At McCarthy, we don’t just build structures — we build futures👷♂️👷♀️ Our Northern Pacific Region Partnership for Women committee recently welcomed middle and high school students to McCarthy’s Solutions Center in Woodland, Calif. for a hands-on day of learning, building and career exploration in construction. With support from McCarthy team members and our incredible trade partners, 40 students from 22 schools rotated through interactive stations focused on concrete, electrical work, sheet metal, framing and power tools — gaining practical exposure, new confidence and a stronger understanding of what safety-first really means on a jobsite. Thank you to all the volunteers, partners and sponsors who helped make this a meaningful experience for the next generation of builders. #McCarthyBuild #STEM #CommunityBuilder #McCarthyCareers #ForTheKids

  • For Nurse’s Week, we recognized and celebrated some of the nurses who show up every day with diligence, compassion and resilience. Nurses make an impact far beyond the walls of any one facility, and we remain grateful for the skill, strength and heart they bring to patients, families and communities. To all nurses, thank you for the extraordinary care, compassion and perseverance you show day in and day out. Your impact is far greater than words can express. Share your appreciation for the nurses in your life! #ThankYouNurses #NursesWeek #Healthcare #McCarthyBuild

  • For Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’re sharing the story of McCarthy Southwest Region Preconstruction Vice President Gong Liu, whose journey into construction began with a chance conversation that changed his career path. Over the past 32 years, Gong has helped shape major projects, mentored future leaders and played a key role in the growth of our Mission Critical business unit. “I get to build something new, set the culture and expectations, apply everything I learned over the years and make sure we do things right the first time,” Gong shared. For Gong, the legacy that matters most isn’t just the buildings you can point to from the freeway, but the teams, systems and culture you build so others can go on to accomplish incredible things. • Time to celebrate a major milestone! Our project team at the Replacement Administration Building project for Los Angeles City College recently reached the halfway point with a Topping Out celebration after an incredibly busy year on site. A few fun facts behind the progress: • 41,271 craft hours worked, nearly 4 years and 8 months of combined time with ZERO recordables • 44 concrete pours completed • 721 concrete trucks delivered to site - If lined up end to end, those trucks would stretch nearly 5 miles • Altogether, the concrete would weigh about as much as 3,033 full-grown elephants 🐘 That’s the kind of momentum we’re talking about. Congratulations to the entire project team and trade partners for reaching this exciting milestone. We’re proud of the progress made so far and excited to see what comes next. 🚧 A special thank you to our partners Steinberg Hart, John A. • Hard hats, power tools and future builders in the making! Last weekend, we welcomed 70 high school students to our 7th annual STEMstruction event — our biggest turnout yet, with students representing 35 high schools across Southern California. Students rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on experience pouring concrete, welding, operating power tools and even maneuvering a mini excavator. More importantly, they gained a firsthand look at the many exciting career paths within the design and construction industry. Our goal is simple: provide students with opportunities they may have never considered, challenge them to try something new and send them home feeling accomplished, confident and inspired (while having a lot of fun along the way). #STEMstruction #ConstructionCareers #ConsructionWorkforce #McCarthyBuild

  • A decade later, the Athena Parking Structure continues to serve thousands of patients, visitors and healthcare professionals at UC San Diego Health. Celebrating 10 years since opening, this seven-level, 1,259-space parking structure was designed with both functionality and user experience in mind, helping ease congestion on the busy campus while creating a safer, more welcoming environment for everyone who visits. From the open central atrium that brings natural light deep into the structure, to intuitive wayfinding, EV charging stations and architectural perforated metal panels that blend seamlessly with the surrounding campus, Athena was built to stand the test of time. Projects like this remind us that infrastructure can do more than support a campus, it can improve comfort, accessibility and the overall experience for the communities it serves. We’re proud to deliver parking facilities that make a positive impact decades later. #ParkingSolutions #CommunityBuilder #ParkingStructure #McCarthyBuild

  • We joined our project partners at Granger Construction for a Heart Hats event benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities. Together, our teams spread 12 yards of playground mulch and 6 yards of landscaping mulch across the playground, memory garden and flower beds, helping create a more welcoming space for families staying at Ronald McDonald House. As we work with Michigan State University on critical campus energy infrastructure, it’s just as important to show up beyond the jobsite. We’re proud to partner with MSU and Granger to make a difference in the community, too. Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and energy to make it happen. #HeartHats #CommunityBuilder #McCarthyBuild #PoweringTheFuture
