Lisa Buchanan’s 50-year-old daughter has multiple disabilities, so during the past 50 years Lisa has accumulated more experience in emergency rooms than the average person. During that time, Lisa has learned what makes a fantastic ER visit – and she finds it consistently at Herriman Emergency Center. “I arrived concerned about my daughter – concerned enough about her health that I was bringing her to an emergency room. The fact that they were able to give such a calming presence is pretty unique to that kind of situation,” Lisa said. “I walked out of there and it didn’t even feel like I had been in an emergency room. This is my second awesome experience at Herriman Emergency Center. While I’m a little reluctant to share how great it is, just because I don’t want it to become overcrowded, I think it’s really important for people to know just how wonderful the team is there. Hospital Week at Lone Peak Hospital = The Happiest Place to Work 🎉✨ Last week was all about celebrating the incredible people who make Lone Peak Hospital such a special place—our dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking colleagues who show up for our patients and each other every single day. 🍇🎈 Monday: We Show UP Day We kicked things off strong with therapy dogs from Intermountain Therapy Animals🐾and, of course, grape soda! 🤠🍕 Tuesday: Toy Story Day Yeehaw! Mechanical bull riding + Pizza Planet pizza made this one feel straight out of Andy’s room. 🚗🍩 Wednesday: Cars Day Huge thanks to Resurgence Automotive for an incredible car show for our colleagues! We kept the fun rolling with wiggle car races and donuts to fuel the competition. 🌺🥁 Thursday: Moana Luau Island vibes all day long with live entertainment from Hana Events and special appearances from Maui, Pua, and Hei Hei 🌊 ❄️🍦 Friday: Frozen Day We wrapped up the week with ice cream and visits from Kristoff, Olaf, Elsa—and our adorable therapy dog dressed as Sven stole the show 🐶🦌 Thank you to every colleague who brings heart, positivity, and excellence to our hospital.
