Lochner was proud to sponsor and take part in this year’s Western Winter Workshop ™, joining industry and technology leaders to exchange ideas, address challenges, and help shape the future of infrastructure delivery. Our team contributed to discussions on advancing program delivery, enterprise risk management, and resilient transit operations supporting major events and complex transportation programs. A highlight of the event was Sean VonFeldt kicking off Innovation Day in his fourth year as Chairman of the Workshop, continuing to guide conversations on evolving program and project controls practices for public sector owners. As a Capital Management Session Sponsor, Lochner supported The Venue—Transit Connection: Delivering Seamless Mobility for Major Events panel, where Ken Hawkins introduced the panel of strategies for integrated mobility planning and coordinated program delivery. Lochner also shared insights during the Enterprise Risk Management for Transit Agencies session, where Gary Thomas and Chad Edwards joined Denver International Airport Chief Construction and Infrastructure Officer Jim Starling as panelists, with Christabel San Nicolas serving as moderator. As we continue our integration with Egis, engagement in forums like the Western Winter Workshop reflects the leadership, expertise, and collaboration that drive successful delivery of complex infrastructure programs. • We’re proud to see the continued momentum of Lochner, an Egis Group Company, reflected in the 2026 Engineering News-Record rankings. As the cornerstone of Egis’ growth strategy in the U.S., our combined Egis in the U.S. platform has advanced to: - 56th in the Top 500 Design Firms (Lochner previously #98) - 17th in Transportation (Lochner previously #27) - 47th in the Top 100 Pure Designers (Lochner previously #84) This upward trajectory is built on the strong foundation Lochner established over eight decades—reflecting both our legacy of delivery excellence and the expanded capabilities we now bring to clients as part of Egis. We’re especially proud to see this momentum translate into a Top 20 Transportation ranking for the first time, a testament to the expertise and dedication of our teams. As we continue this next chapter with Egis, we remain focused on delivering for our clients, supporting communities, and creating a new legacy of service quality and excellence under the Egis brand.

Tiffany Card, P.E. (MA, VT, RI), and Dennis Vertiyev, P.E., recently presented at the ACEC Vermont Annual Transportation Technical Workshop, highlighting the Route 2A over I-95 interchange redesign in Lexington, MA, for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The project replaces a traditional cloverleaf configuration with modern roundabouts, improving safety and traffic operations while reducing congestion. The reimagined interchange also leverages the replacement of a structurally deficient bridge to simplify movements and eliminate operational inefficiencies. Multimodal improvements were a key focus, including a separated shared-use path, ADA-compliant crossings, and traffic calming measures along Route 2A to better support pedestrians and cyclists. This project reflects the growing collaboration and shared technical capabilities of Lochner and Egis in delivering forward-thinking infrastructure solutions that enhance safety, mobility, and long-term community value. https://lnkd.in/gf89B9Ce
