This conversation captured a lot of what we’re trying to build at League One Volleyball (LOVB) and how we try to show up as leaders. Grateful to Chad Biagini Biagini and Matt Rogers for such a thoughtful (and fun) dialogue. I took a lot from it. These ideas around relational leadership have also shaped how we built Loom and our consulting work helping leaders and teams drive high performance and high belonging, at the same time. #RelationalLeadership #Leadership #HighPerformance #TeamCulture #LOVB

Some leaders build brands. Others build worlds. Peter Hirschmann has done both. In this episode, what stood out most wasn’t just the scale of what they are building with League One Volleyball (LOVB) - it’s how they are building it. Before launching, Peter held 100+ conversations. Not to validate the idea… but to honor the community he was stepping into. That mindset shows up everywhere: → Leading with belonging, not just performance → Building from the grassroots up, not top-down → Creating a movement, not just a league We also got into: -Why community might be the most underutilized advantage in business -The loneliness leaders don’t talk about and how to fix it -Why resilience is less about reflection…and more about getting back up and moving This one’s different. Thoughtful. Honest. And worth your time. 🎧 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/gyXbHszG #Leadership #Creativity #Innovation #Storytelling #Podcast

A week after Championship Weekend and I keep coming back to the same thought: Some things only look risky until they’re obvious. I’ve spent the last few years investing in women’s sports, and the pattern is getting clearer every quarter — massive audiences, underbuilt infrastructure, and teams that are just starting to get the resources they’ve always earned. Volleyball is one of the clearest examples of that gap. Huge participation. Global stars. Deeply engaged fan bases. What’s been missing is a professional system that meets the moment. That’s why we leaned in on League One Volleyball (LOVB). I talked about it in SBJ this week — this isn’t just a “launch” anymore. We’re starting to see what scale looks like: national broadcasts, real partnerships, consistency across the league. And the thing I keep reminding people: this is going to seem very obvious in a few years. The people getting involved now — fans, partners, investors — are going to look very right. Let's go, LOVB Los Angeles!!

Last weekend I went to my first League One Volleyball (LOVB) match, and the National Championships nonetheless. WOW WOW WOW. I was blown away and truly had one of the best sporting experiences. It's intimate, energized, incredibly badass and so much fun. LOVB Austin, congrats on the back to back titles. LOVB Salt Lake, you ladies looked fierce out there and should be mighty proud. Volleyball is 100% the next Major League and I am here for it. As they say... run, don't walk, to a LOVB match next season 🫶🏐 Can't wait for LOVB Los Angeles and LOVB San Francisco to make their debuts next year. It's on!!! Huge thanks to Chefik Simo for the invite and major kudos to Raquel Braun and team for knocking it out of the park.

  • LOVB is excited to introduce summerLOVB, a new annual holiday where volleyball clubs across the country open their doors for a day-long celebration of volleyball, community, connection, and LOVB. Starting this June 6, 2026 and recurring annually on the first Saturday in June. Events throughout the day will vary by club, potentially including pancake breakfasts, special edition summer Whole Athlete Training journals, and volleyball programming for minis, teens, adults, and families. At its core, summerLOVB is about connection: a day where every gym feels connected, every age feels invited, and volleyball feels like a celebration, not just a sport. VolleybALL Day. VolleybALL Ages.

  • What happens when the next generation steps onto the court and sees exactly who they can become? That was the motivation behind LOVB SKIMS SERVE ATX, where League One Volleyball (LOVB) and SKIMS welcomed 90 young athletes and their families for a complimentary, one-of-a-kind immersive experience. Pros, Olympians, collegiate NIL athletes, and campers shared the same space—the same court—closing the gap between where these athletes are today and where they’re headed. From training with Olympic medalists like Courtney Thompson and Kim Hill, to powerful panels with LOVB Austin pros and top collegiate NIL athletes, the day was grounded in access and real conversation. Athletes didn’t just hear about the next level—they experienced it. Throughout the day they asked questions, learned new skills from the best of the best, built connections, and left with the courage to pursue their dreams. Held at HCI Sports & Fitness in Bee Cave, Texas, the day blended elite training with lasting impact. Every participant left with a SKIMS gift bag and a renewed sense of confidence and inspiration. Alongside the event, SKIMS donated 20% of net sales from its Austin store’s Sleep and Cotton Fleece collections to the LOVB Foundation– reinforcing a shared commitment to investing in the next generation. “SKIMS was built on the belief that true confidence transforms how you show up, whether you're stepping onto the court, into the boardroom, or chasing your biggest dreams,” said Kim Kardashian, Chief Creative Officer & Co-Founder, SKIMS. “Partnering with LOVB for LOVB SKIMS SERVE ATX brings that ethos to life for the next generation of athletes in a meaningful way. These young women are the future, and by creating spaces where they build resilience, leadership, and unshakeable self-belief through sport, we're empowering them to lead both on and off the court—and to achieve whatever they set their minds to in life.”
