Great to meet so many new folks (and catch up with old friends) during last night’s Happy Hour at Sideward Brewing. The world of HR is genuinely wild. Compliance changes, comp questions, terminations, culture issues, hiring freezes, performance problems…it doesn’t slow down, and the answers aren’t always clear. That’s why I’m passionate about building this community and have advocated for years about the importance of having folks you trust that you can talk to when the going gets tough. Just having a room where you can raise your hand and ask “am I handling this right?” is massive. It lowers the stakes enough for honest questions to surface. It’s also reflects how we show up for our clients - not as vendors who clock in and clock out, but as partners who are genuinely invested in helping you navigate whatever just landed in your lap.
