Last week, Heritage Golf Group sponsored and participated in the ForeHire Networking Event in Chicago. ForeHire is an organization dedicated to career development and professional opportunities for former and current female collegiate golfers pursuing careers in the golf industry and beyond. The event featured a variety of sessions focused on preparing these women for successful careers through networking, professional development, and industry insight. Representatives from our HR team attended and left energized after connecting with so many driven and talented individuals interested in growing their careers. We are proud to support an organization focused on mentorship, development, and creating pathways for women in the industry.

One of Heritage Golf Group’s own is teeing it up in a major today. Matt Schalk is the General Manager at Colorado National Golf Club in Erie, Colorado. At 9:09 AM today, he tees off in the 2026 Senior PGA Championship at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida, a field that includes 21 Major Champions, seven World Golf Hall of Famers, and names like Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Zach Johnson, and Bernhard Langer. He earned his place in the field by finishing in the top 35 at the 2025 Senior PGA Professional Championship against 264 of the country's best PGA club professionals. This isn’t his first time on this stage. He qualified for the 2023 Senior PGA Championship the same way, winning the national PGA Professional Championship outright to qualify that year. Matt has spent his career going the extra mile for his students, for his members, and for the game of golf.
