Complex sites, collaborative solutions. GMC recently had the opportunity to provide site engineering and civil design services for a unique commercial subdivision in Hillsborough County, helping bring the project from early planning through construction. One of the project’s key challenges involved reconfiguring and modeling an existing FDOT stormwater pond, along with coordinating additional offsite improvements needed to support the development. Through close coordination and thoughtful design, the team was able to navigate the complexities of the site while keeping the project moving forward. A landmark returns to Grovetown! A long-awaited vision is now a reality with the new Grovetown Depot – a 6,000-square-foot community gathering space designed to bring the community together. Inspired by the town’s historic 1891 train depot, the design pays tribute to Grovetown’s rail legacy through intentional architectural forms and detailing. The building also features artifacts from the original train station, thoughtfully displayed to reflect the city’s history. The new facility now serves as a welcoming space for community events such as weddings, receptions, meetings and special events. A healthier space for student care. GMC recently partnered with USC Upstate on the renovation and addition of the existing John M. Rampey Jr. Center for Health and Counseling Services building, expanding access to care for students right on campus. Previously operating out of a campus property affectionately known as “the brick house,” the growing student population created a need for a larger, more functional space. The 5,000-square-foot project included a new lobby with separate sick and well waiting areas, six exam rooms, a procedure room, full lab, autoclave and medications rooms, a centralized nurses station with visibility into each exam room and an emergency vehicle bay. A new space for recovery! GMC recently joined Ochsner Health to celebrate the opening of the new Ochsner Therapy & Wellness Lakeview Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana. This new facility brings specialized physical and occupational therapy closer to where patients live, helping make recovery more convenient and accessible for people of all ages. The clinic features board-certified orthopedic, sports and hand specialists, along with added wellness services and extended weekend hours to keep patients on track with recovery.
