Christian Westcott has been in the search industry since the 90s. He built our inbound funnel at WRITER from the ground up and knew exactly how the game was played. Then, LLMs shattered the traditional buyer journey. Instead of fighting the shift, Christian rewrote his own job description. He pitched a completely new role for himself: Director of AI Visibility. To free up his time to focus on this new frontier, he turned to AI to automate his own workflows: 🔍 Analyzed 10,000 past tasks using Writer Agent 📝 Built an intake form that killed endless back-and-forth 🤖 Deployed a QA agent that saves him 80 hours a month His advice to CMOs navigating this shift: "Get comfortable with attribution getting cloudier. That's the nature of where we're heading." His advice to practitioners: "Get a win under your belt. Show people what's possible."

So much of the words / ink spent on the AI industry is focused on the inputs — the valuations of the companies in the space, the amount of spend from enterprises, the explosion of infrastructure build out, etc. So little time is spent on the outcomes. Part of that is that outside of coding making engineers more productive (individually; jury is still out on main-branch commit quality and velocity at most enterprises we work with), it's really hard to point to actual direct growth / revenue from AI. Which is why it's so important that we hear from our own customers at every company all hands. Anyone can name-drop customers. What actually matters is OUTCOMES. Look at what Vertiv is doing. SIX WEEKS. That's how long it took Ashleigh Seymour to go from first-time WRITER user to program owner driving AI across the ENTIRE company. And Vertiv operates across 130+ countries!! "I had a role before WRITER and I have a role after WRITER." One of the use cases Ashleigh walked us through — using WRITER, she built a pipeline attribution dashboard that solved a problem her team had been stuck on for years. Unlocked millions in misattributed pipeline in EMEA alone. Identified 13 new use cases. Just went all in … and brought her WHOLE team along. There are Ashleighs inside every company we work with. Someone who doesn't need a rollout plan to just start asking, "can AI solve this?" on important problems. Thank you for joining us at our All Hands and inspiring all of us, Ashleigh!!

Blog publishing is tedious. Draft the post, copy-paste into WordPress, format everything, find images, set categories, update project trackers, notify your web team. We built a skill in WRITER that does all of it. It connects to Google Docs and WordPress, drafts in your voice, generates images, stages to your CMS as a draft ready for review. Layer on Asana and Slack and it updates the blog status and notifies your web team automatically. A single prompt now handles your entire workflow! 💪

Productivity is the floor. Right now, the universal mandate for AI is efficiency: “do more with less.” But using AI just to cut costs is a race to the bottom. The real opportunity is using it to build capacity to invest in driving growth. And to use AI to supercharge that growth. Yesterday in Chicago, I stood in front of a room of GTM leaders at WRITER's Agentic Enterprise roadshow to talk about exactly this. During my keynote, the slide that got everyone pulling out their phones was about how companies are starting to move to an “always on” marketing model. From waterfall activities (plan campaign, build assets, launch, wait 3 weeks for results) to continuous adaptation. Plan, build, launch faster with agents, then use agents to monitor market signals to adapt as you gain new information. But getting there requires changing how we lead. It requires being the annoying person in the room who constantly stops the meeting to ask, “Wait, can an agent do that?” You have to do it enough times that the team won’t come to you having answered that question already themselves. All that said, the best part of the day happened after I got off stage. We ran a 90-minute hands-on executive agent playbook building session led by Matt Sobel and Danny Graziosi. I walked around the room, and every single screen was open to WRITER. Nobody was checking email. They were in the weeds, building. A digital innovation leader at a leading global pharmaceutical company got on stage to share. She had never built a dashboard before. In 90 minutes, she built a competitive intelligence dashboard for pharma marketing that pulled maturity scores, conversion lifts, and gap analyses. She even prompted it to use her company’s brand colors and her specific, human-centric tone of voice. That is what actual adoption looks like. Real change happens when leaders sit down, get uncomfortable, and build something themselves. A huge thank you to Lindsay Poirier for MCing brilliantly, Mina Alaghband for an incredible fireside chat, and our guests Marilia Moreira of Whirlpool Corporation, Tara Castrejon of New American Funding, and Will (Weihua) Zheng, PhD. of Focus Financial Partners for keeping the conversation grounded in reality. The technology is here. The question is whether we’re willing to get our hands dirty and use it.

The autonomous intelligence gap that exists in the enterprise is causing a crisis of leadership. People see the tremendous leaps in the tech but outside of coding, don’t see the results in their orgs.  Most enterprises don’t see anything other than exploding AI bills. I sit across from leaders at the most storied brands in the world. Battle-tested execs who’ve survived the dot-com crash, 2008, the move to cloud, COVID. Execs who’ve crushed every metric the old world put in front of them. Everything that got them to where they are today – the headcount, the budgets, the organizational complexity they’ve mastered – it all collapses with AI. The playbook they’ve relied on for decades is the exact playbook that *breaks* with AI. Execution has gone from scarce and expensive…to something that’s abundant, programmatic, and totally on-demand. At TED this year, I spoke about a new kind of AI-native leader, operating from a completely different playbook: Leaders as architects of radical simplicity. Taking a machete to decades of complexity and bureaucratic scar tissue. Hands-on, no delegating, insisting on as much governed, autonomous intelligence as possible. These same leaders are also telling their people the truth: the careers they thought were sure things may not be anymore, because the roles and responsibilities of job functions as we know them disappear when proceseses are re-engineered so completely. But new roles are emerging, and those AI-native leaders are quickly helping their people design new pathways to career growth. Thanks for the opportunity, TEDAI San Francisco!

WHAT A DAY! 🙌 Yesterday, we gathered in Chicago for our Agentic Enterprise Go-to-Market Executive Series. We heard from Tara Castrejon (New American Funding), Will (Weihua) (Focus Financial Partners), and Marilia Moreira (Whirlpool Corporation) who gave us an unfiltered look at what transformation actually looks like inside modern enterprises and how they are navigating the shift toward modern go-to-market strategies. Together, we explored a critical truth: marketing leadership has to evolve before an organization can truly transform. We dug into what it takes to drive adoption, build the right culture, and deliver measurable results as teams shift toward AI-powered go-to-market strategies. To close out the day, Danny Graziosi and Matt Sobel led a 90-minute hands-on build session. Attendees brought real go-to-market challenges and built custom playbooks in WRITER that they can take back to their teams immediately. Huge props to everyone who joined us to shape the conversation and show us what's possible when you put strategy into action! Next up: NYC on June 11: https://lnkd.in/epj2MvjF

55% of enterprise marketing teams describe their AI rollout as a "chaotic free-for-all." That chaos has a sound. It sounds like "leverage." Like "unlock unprecedented value." Like copy that could belong to any company in your category... and probably does. 🫠 That's what's on the left. Same prompt, no brand standards applied. Twelve AI-isms. Score: 36/100. The right is what happens when your voice, terminology, and messaging frameworks are built into the AI before generation starts. Score: 97/100. Most teams are still trying to fix this in review. Our newly launched AI and Brand Integrity Guide makes the case for fixing it in the infrastructure instead: https://lnkd.in/estaqW93

That’s a wrap on an incredible few days at the Gartner Marketing Symposium/Xpo™ in London! 🇬🇧 We loved hearing from so many forward-thinking marketing leaders who are eager to shape the future of work with AI. A major highlight for us was Patrick Shephard taking the stage to discuss "The AI Operating Model that Scales" and explore how Fortune 500 enterprises are successfully moving their AI initiatives from pilots to production. If there’s one key takeaway we’re bringing home, it’s this: The difference between AI ambition and real, organization-wide impact isn't just the technology, it’s the operating model. And the companies at the symposium are at the edge, leading the way for true AI transformation. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, attended WRITER’s session, and shared their insights with us. We are excited to continue building this future together!
