During the 2026 Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by PEAK, we had the privilege of helping present a vehicle to Chicago area veteran Vincent Guzman through the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides program. A 2023 Honda Accord, donated by Allstate and repaired by the technicians at Gerber Collision & Glass, was presented on-track during race weekend at Route 66 Raceway. For Vincent, reliable transportation means more than getting from one place to another. It supports his ability to pursue education, employment opportunities and everyday independence as he continues moving forward. Thank you to the National Auto Body Council, Allstate, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, our Gerber Collision & Glass team and every partner who helped make this presentation possible.

The future of the automotive industry was at Route 66 Raceway. During the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by PEAK, Veronica Downey, Director of Talent Acquisition at Gerber Collision & Glass, joined the NHRA Youth & Education Services (Y.E.S.) Program to share how students can build a future in collision repair through hands-on experience, paid training, apprenticeships, calibration, body repair and more. Students also had the opportunity to meet members of our team, ask questions and learn more about careers at Gerber Collision & Glass. One moment. One vehicle. A lasting impact. Through our partnership with the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides program, we were able to present Navy veteran John Hubert with a beautifully refurbished vehicle in Tampa, FL. After experiencing homelessness during the 2008 recession, John found his footing again thanks to veteran resources. Now in retirement, he’s an active community volunteer. But without access to public transportation, his medical appointments, volunteer work and time with other veterans became challenging. With this vehicle, he can continue the work he is so passionate about while keeping the dignity and independence he deserves. Thank you to Travelers and the entire Gerber Collision & Glass team for making a difference in this veteran’s life.

Every vehicle has a story. This vehicle changed a life. Through our partnership with the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides program, we had the opportunity to present a refurbished vehicle to U.S. Marine Corps veteran and father of three, Pedro Perez. After serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and as a police officer, Perez faced a rare cancer diagnosis in 2013 that impacted his mobility. With the addition of lift features, this vehicle will help him regain independence and fully reconnect with the life he enjoys. One that includes time with family, access to the outdoors and the ability to move forward on his own terms.
