  • GLP-1 weight-loss drugs are transforming lives — but what do they really mean for people facing cancer? We brought together perspectives from researchers, clinicians and patients navigating the promise and the tradeoffs of these “game-changing” medications. From renewed energy and significant weight loss to challenging side effects and high costs, the experience is anything but one-size-fits-all. For cancer survivors and those in treatment, the stakes are especially high. While these drugs may help address treatment-related weight gain and improve overall health, scientists are still working to understand their long-term impact, including whether they might influence cancer risk or recurrence. The bottom line: there’s real potential here, but also important unanswered questions. Read more about how the cancer community is weighing the benefits and uncertainties — and what it means for patients now and in the future: https://bit.ly/42qSXGl
