We're so excited to celebrate the news Essentia Health was recently awarded Accreditation with Distinction through the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Practice Transition Accreditation Program®! Designed to set new nurses up for success, the program offers coaching and evidence-based mentorship throughout their first year.   This accomplishment reflects the extraordinary work of our nursing professional development practitioners and specialists, preceptors, program coordinators, nurse managers and care teams who invest daily in developing confident, competent, and compassionate nurses.

This week, we proudly welcomed our very first cohort of students at our CRNA Student Commitment Signing Day — an exciting milestone for both our students and Essentia Health. With a shared commitment to excellence, these future CRNAs are taking the next step in their journey, and we’re honored to support them every step of the way. Through an investment in each student’s education, we’re not just investing in careers. We’re also investing in the future of patient care in our communities. Please help us welcome Christie Erickson, APRN, CNP, as associate chief medical officer (ACMO) for Essentia Health’s East Market. She brings more than 15 years of experience to the ACMO role, having held a range of leadership positions at Essentia.    “We do better with varied leadership perspectives because we come at problems differently,” Erickson said in a recent interview with BusinessNorth.    “Whether we are physicians or nurses, we have slightly different or philosophical perspectives. It’s how we adapt to individual care and decision-making in a personal way.”
