Resilient food systems help everyone. They keep food moving in good times and when disruptions hit. That’s why measuring resilience matters. The Resilient Food Systems Index, developed by Economist Impact and supported by Cargill, benchmarks the resilience of 60 countries, looking at four key pillars: affordability, availability, quality & safety and climate risk responsiveness. Currently, there’s a 42-point gap between the most and least resilient countries. We all have a role to play, across farming, business, policy and beyond, to help close it. Some ideas win awards. The best ones solve practical challenges. That’s why these Edison Awards recognitions mean so much: they celebrate solutions built to help customers, teams and industries do more. 🏆 NextCoa™ confectionery alternatives to chocolate deliver chocolatey-like taste without cocoa. 🥉 CarVe helps teams recover more meat, reducing food waste and improving processing efficiency. Progress starts with seeing opportunity differently, then building for impact. Together with partners like Voyage Foods and our teams, we’re helping shape what comes next.

What happens when regenerative agriculture meets digital innovation, and when more women farmers gain access to both? Through the Women Farmers Module in our 1000 Farmers Endless Prosperity program, olive growers like İpek are using digital soil analysis, satellite monitoring and smart pest control and irrigation tools to help make farming more resilient and data-driven. The program also provides ongoing agronomic guidance and tailored training, helping farmers transition from traditional methods to climate-resilient practices. Since launching the Women Farmers Module in 2024, we’ve expanded opportunities for 500+ women producers across Türkiye, with plans to triple participation each year. Because building a more resilient food system starts by investing in the people growing it.🌱 Read the story: https://lnkd.in/dY_XaX3B

Regina just changed the game for farmers in Western Canada. 🚜 For Jay, whose long-time family farm rests in southern Saskatchewan, the opening of a major new canola crush facility means more ways to win. Cargill’s facility has capacity to process 1 million metric tonnes of canola annually, giving growers like him greater market access to the global demand for food, feed and renewable fuels.
