Baltic Street Wellness Solutions is proud to announce its 4th Annual Symposium, inviting Peer Specialists, advocates, practitioners, and leaders to come together around this year’s theme: “Roots of Recovery: Reclaiming Human Connection in the Age of A.I.” As technology rapidly reshapes how we communicate, work, and care for one another, this symposium centers on a critical question: How do we preserve and strengthen authentic human connection in an increasingly digital world? At the heart of peer support lies lived experience, empathy, and relationship. These are all elements that cannot be replicated, only nurtured. We are seeking dynamic and engaging proposals that explore the intersection of peer support, recovery, and emerging technologies. Sessions should uplift lived experience while addressing how the field can adapt, innovate, and remain grounded in human connection. We welcome presentations that highlight creative practices, ethical considerations, community-centered approaches, and strategies for maintaining authenticity and equity in a changing landscape. This symposium is more than a convening. Our symposiums are a space for reflection, dialogue, and collective reimagining. Together, we will explore how to stay rooted in the values of peer support while navigating the opportunities and challenges of the digital age. We invite you to contribute your voice, your work, and your vision as we continue to grow a field that is deeply human at its core. #BalticStreetWellnessSolutions #PeerSupport #Recovery #MentalHealth #HumanConnection #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #RootsOfRecovery #BehavioralHealth #CommunityCare #LivedExperience #MentalHealthAwareness #PeerSpecialists #Wellness #RecoveryCommunity #DigitalAge #HealingTogether #SupportSystems #EquityInCare #AuthenticConnection

Monthly Mental Health Check-In 💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a reminder that checking in with yourself is just as important as checking in with others. So take a moment and ask yourself: ✨ How have I really been feeling lately? ✨ What’s been draining me? ✨ What’s been helping me get through the hard days? Mental health isn’t something we only think about during difficult moments. It’s in the small everyday things, rest, connection, boundaries, support, and giving ourselves grace when things feel heavy. And if this month has reminded you of anything, let it be this: you do not have to carry everything alone. Sometimes, the strongest thing we can do is be honest about where we are. So this is your reminder to pause, breathe, and check in, with yourself and with the people around you. 💛 #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MonthlyCheckIn #MentalHealthMatters #SelfCare #EmotionalWellbeing #CommunitySupport #BalticStreetWellnessSolutions #YouAreNotAlone

Happy Mother’s Day 💐💛 Today can hold a lot of different emotions. For some, it’s a day filled with celebration, gratitude, and time with loved ones. For others, it may bring reflection, grief, complicated relationships, or reminders of someone deeply missed. However today feels for you, your experience is valid. Motherhood and the people who nurture, support, and care for us, can take many forms. Sometimes it’s a parent, a grandparent, a chosen family member, a friend, or someone who simply showed up when it mattered most. Today, we honor all forms of care, love, and support. If you or someone you know could use support today, Baltic Street is here. Reach out, connect, and remember, you don’t have to navigate difficult moments alone. 💛 #MothersDay #CommunityCare #MentalHealthMatters #SupportSystems #BalticStreet #ChosenFamily #HealingAndConnection

Cinco de Mayo, commemorating the Mexican army’s victory at the Battle of Puebla, a powerful symbol of resilience, culture, and pride. 🇲🇽 Here in New York City and Brooklyn, that spirit is alive in so many ways. Across the city, communities are coming together to celebrate through music, food, and culture, from festivals to neighborhood gatherings and live performances. In Brooklyn, events like the Cinco de Mayo celebration at Time Out Market and the Brooklyn Cinco de Mayo Fiesta in Bushwick are bringing people together with food, music, and community connection. You can also find celebrations across NYC, from Latin music and reggaeton parties in the Lower East Side to cultural events, concerts, and even waterfront festivals that highlight the richness of Mexican heritage. And in Brooklyn, events like the Cinco de Mayo 5K continue to bring the community together in a meaningful way, celebrating culture while promoting health and connection. But beyond the events, today is about something deeper. It’s about honoring the history, resilience, and contributions of Mexican and Mexican-American communities, and recognizing how culture, connection, and community all play a role in our mental health and well-being.❤️ #CincoDeMayo #BalticStreetCares #CelebrateCulture #NYCEvents #BrooklynEvents #CommunityCare #CulturalPride #MentalHealthMatters #HealingInCommunity #StrongerTogether #PeerSupport #BalticStreetWellnessSolutions

Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich history, vibrant cultures, and lasting contributions of AAPI communities. 🌺 AAPI history is deeply woven into the story of this country from early immigrants who helped build the transcontinental railroad, to generations of artists, activists, educators, and leaders who have shaped culture, policy, and community life. Despite facing exclusion, discrimination, and erasure, AAPI communities have continued to preserve traditions, uplift one another, and create spaces of belonging. 🌏 AAPI culture is not one story, it is a tapestry of languages, identities, and experiences. It’s reflected in food, art, music, family traditions, and the values passed down through generations. We believe in celebrating that diversity and honoring the strength and resilience that lives within every community. 💬 This month, we encourage you to: ✨ Learn about AAPI history ✨ Support AAPI-owned businesses ✨ Attend cultural events and celebrations ✨ Listen to and uplift AAPI voices Because celebration is also a form of recognition and every culture deserves to be seen, valued, and honored. #AAPIHeritageMonth #BalticStreetCares #CelebrateCulture #AAPIHistory #CommunityCare #RepresentationMatters #CulturalHeritage #StrongerTogether #PeerSupport #BalticStreetWellnessSolutions

🧠 Mental Health Awareness Month There was a time, not that long ago, when mental health wasn’t just misunderstood… it was institutionalized, criminalized, and silenced. In the 1700s and 1800s, people experiencing mental health conditions were often placed in asylums under inhumane conditions. By the early 1900s, advocacy began to emerge, pushing for more compassionate care, but stigma remained deeply rooted. It wasn’t until 1949, when Mental Health Awareness Month was first established in the U.S., that a national movement began to take shape, one that aimed to educate, humanize, and bring these conversations into the light. Then came the shift. Stigma still exists. Access is still unequal. And too many people, especially in marginalized communities are still fighting to be seen, heard, and supported. 🤍 #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #BalticStreetCares #MentalHealthHistory #EndTheStigma #PeerSupport #MentalHealthEquity #HealingInCommunity #KeepTheConversationGoing #BalticStreetWellnessSolutions
