  • We’re proud to share that Atria has received the Outstanding Leadership Development Program Award from OpenSesame for our Rise Leadership Program.   The six-month program helps new and aspiring leaders build confidence in communication, coaching and performance management. Importantly, it strengthens manager effectiveness – which we know directly drives engagement, retention and the resident experience.   Rise is one part of our structured approach to career development designed to support employees from day one through leadership roles. It reflects what we hear consistently from our teams: people want opportunities to grow, and they want a clear path forward.   Congratulations to Meg Pletcher, Heather Cunningham and the entire Atria Learning and Development team on this amazing achievement.

  • We’re excited to share that Atria Senior Living has expanded its presence on Long Island. We’ve partnered with Fundamental Advisors and Scribner Capital to welcome two established, high-quality assisted living communities into the Atria portfolio: Atria Levittown and Atria Patchogue. “As we continue to grow our portfolio, we’re focused on expanding in markets where we already have operational depth and brand strength,” said Holly Belter-Chesser, Chief Executive Officer of Atria. “Atria Levittown and Atria Patchogue expand our Long Island footprint, allowing us to leverage the existing regional leadership infrastructure and shared services while delivering the care, engagement and hospitality standards Atria is known for. These newly developed communities are a strong fit within our portfolio and represent a natural and strategic expansion.” Long Island is a market where we’ve served residents for three decades, and we look forward to building on that foundation as we support residents and families in these communities. “It’s my purpose,” Dara explains about her work as Engage Life Director at Atria Grapevine. “I feel like I’m fulfilling my calling. I’ve been taught to have a servant’s heart my whole life. My grandmother volunteered at Baylor Hospital and her church for decades. She taught me that in everything you do, you should give with purpose and live with purpose.” Dara has worked in the community for more than six years, but her connection goes back much further. The grandmother she mentions was one of the very first residents to call Atria Grapevine home, and the years Dara spent visiting, sharing meals and joining activities, left a lasting impression. Today, she leads the very programs she once enjoyed alongside her family. With a background in senior fitness, adaptive training and event leadership, Dara brings an energetic, thoughtful approach to Engage Life. From exercise classes (her “jam”) to experiences that help residents discover new interests and new sides of themselves, what matters most to her is the people. She calls it “living history” – listening to residents’ stories, celebrating their firsts and witnessing what she describes as a “beautiful third act” unfold. Whether it’s a resident discovering a hidden artistic talent or trying sushi for the first time at age 96, Dara finds meaning in helping residents live fully and joyfully. We’re grateful for team members like Dara, who show up every day excited to make a difference and lead with love.

  • Our Memory Care neighborhoods were filled with wonderful aromas as our chefs hosted multisensory cooking demonstrations. Residents followed along as savory roast carrot hummus was prepared and served with fresh veggies and pita. It was a treat for the senses and such a joy to experience! 📸: Atria Crossroads Place, Atria Del Sol, Atria Westchase

  • When James Newnam, our IT Endpoint Specialist, learned about how Veterans Rural Outreach (VRO) was providing transitional housing and support to veterans in counties surrounding Atria's Support Center in Louisville, KY, he knew he could help. That was the beginning of Operation Reboot, a program he started with the support of Tammy L. Miller, MBA-HRM, PMP, CFNC, IT Operations Director. With the help of fellow Atrians, they set to work refurbishing used company laptops, tablets, phones and more. This year alone, Operation Reboot has restored more than 150 phones and 60 computers and tablets to help local veterans pursue employment, permanent housing and healthcare. We're excited to see how James, Tammy and the rest of the team grow this project in the years to come. #VeteransDay
