What are the effects of extreme heat and rainfall on bees – our keystone pollinators? Most climate conversations often focus on averages. But ecological systems don’t always respond to averages - they may respond to extremes. A new peer-reviewed study in Ecological Entomology, co-authored by Dr. Joshua Ladau, Senior Soil Scientist at Arva Intelligence, followed desert bee communities in West Texas for five years to understand how real climate stress shapes ecosystems. The findings reveal why climate impacts are nonlinear, delayed, and deeply context dependent — lessons that matter far beyond pollinators. We tend to make the story about average temperature increases – but it may be the extremes that really matter for our communities and the ecosystems on which they depend. Our CEO, Jay McEntire, recently joined Julian Castelli on the Growth Elevated Leadership Podcast. They discussed Jay’s journey from Wall Street to founding Arva, and how Arva is using AI and data to help farmers improve profitability while advancing more sustainable, regenerative agriculture. It’s a challenging time for farmers, and Arva’s mission is geared towards building solutions that support both supply chain resilience and long-term soil health. Power Back to Farmers Farmers are carrying the risk while everyone else gets paid first. In today’s system, agrochemical companies, seed companies, and insurers get paid first. The farmer is the one taking the downside. Jay McEntire built ARVA to challenge that model. He saw that recommendations weren’t tailored to real field conditions. Different land, same inputs, same answers. Jay McEntire: “They all came back with the same recipe.” Is the system built for farmer success… or industry efficiency? Share your perspective + watch the full episode for Jay’s vision on rebuilding agriculture. #Leadership #Agriculture #Economy #Founder #Systems

Our second roundtable is hosted by Arva - Rewriting the Carbon Equation — Agriculture as a Removal Engine Their roundtable is challenging one of the biggest assumptions in climate conversations: what if agriculture isn’t just part of the problem but a key part of the solution? As pressure grows to deliver real climate impact, the opportunity for agriculture to act as a true removal engine is gaining momentum but making it work requires collaboration, data, and trust. #FutureChain #RegenerativeAgriculture #CarbonRemoval #Sustainability #SupplyChain #Climate

Arva is live at FutureChain in London! #FutureChain26 brings together senior leaders shaping the future of global supply chains. The event will provide actionable insights, real-world case studies, and partnership opportunities that translate directly into improved resilience, agility, and competitive advantage. Philip Harris, our CRO, will be speaking on AI, Traceability & Climate Risk Mapping: Intelligence for Resilient Agriculture. Discover how AI is enhancing traceability, risk forecasting, and decision-making in agriculture, linking digital insights with practical regenerative practices. Then our VP of Sustainability, Catherine Coteus will be shifting the discussion to: Rewriting the Carbon Equation: Agriculture as a Removal Engine, and what that means for how companies think about value, sourcing, and long-term resilience. If you’re navigating Scope 3, supplier risk, or supply chain resilience, these are the conversations that matter. We’d love to connect with you at #FutureChain #SupplyChain #CPG #FoodSystems #Scope3 #ClimateRisk #Traceability #AgTech #Sustainability

New climate reporting rules are raising the bar for the food industry—and for regenerative agriculture. Reuters highlights how the new Land Sector and Removals Standard (LSRS) is bringing much-needed rigor and credibility to how companies measure and report land-based emissions and carbon removals. There has long been a lack of clarity around how to measure, monitor, and confidently validate these outcomes. However, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol’s new Land Sector and Removals Standard (LSRS) has developed guardrails for companies to measure and report on their agricultural impacts. Catherine Coteus, our Vice President of Sustainability, discusses how the new standard provides a pathway to credible claims. This shift could transform the economics of regenerative agriculture. For CPGs, this is the moment that separates intention from execution. Our on-the-ground programs—and direct partnerships with farmers—matter more than ever to help companies achieve their goals. A new global standard is changing the rules for agricultural carbon accounting, writes Mark Hillsdon. The GHG Protocol's Land Sector and Removals Standard (LSRS), which takes effect in 2027, finally gives food and agriculture companies a credible, consistent way to measure and report land-based emissions and carbon removals, closing loopholes that have long allowed greenwashing to flourish. For businesses investing in regenerative agriculture, it's a potential game-changer: companies like Grassroots Carbon and Arva are already showing that rewarding farmers for carbon sequestration is economically viable. #RegenerativeAgriculture #CarbonAccounting #NetZero #Sustainability #FoodSystems Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) Nestlé Tate & Lyle Mighty Earth Carbon Market Watch, Catherine Coteus. Last month, the Arva team was on the ground in Brazil and Argentina, working alongside our channel partners and growers. We visited Grupo RIA at Glycinemax in Argentina and joined our partner Prisma Inteligência Agronômica at Fazenda Tropical in Brazil. Learning directly from our growers, in their fields, is foundational to building credible, scalable regenerative programs from the source. For companies, this isn’t just field engagement—it’s how you build supply chains you can report and rely on. Because if you can’t trace it, you can’t report it—and you can’t claim it. We’re grateful to our partners across South America for their trust and hospitality, and we look forward to continuing the long-term regenerative efforts that are improving soil health. Arva is heading to North American Carbon World in San Diego! Conversations around carbon markets continue to evolve. But what remains steady is that impact happens on the field, with credible agronomy, data, and decisions made by farmers. Arva helps companies cut and measure GHG emissions in agricultural supply chains by incentivizing regenerative practices, delivering auditable MMRV, and sustainability compliance. We look forward to conversations about scaling carbon markets, grounded in agriculture. Helping companies build systems that are trusted, verifiable, and grounded in farming. If you’ll be at #NACW26, we’d love to connect.
