AI can now generate an app from a prompt... Connect it to data... Push it live... 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐓 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭. According to a recent Forbes article, researchers scanned 5,600 AI‑built (“vibe coded”) apps and found more than 2,000 high‑impact security vulnerabilities and 400 exposed secrets, including API keys and credentials. That’s the danger of AI without guardrails. Here’s why this hits manufacturing harder: ✅ The app works ✅ The code looks clean ❌ Security controls get skipped ❌ Ownership is unclear ❌ “Internal tools” become new attack paths The real problem is the illusion of correctness. Everything looks fine — until someone exploits it weeks or months later. Even the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) is warning that vibe coding often bypasses the engineering practices required for secure, reliable, and maintainable systems. Email security isn’t just about protecting what lands in your inbox. We don’t 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 acronyms… but 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 makes a strong case for them. So, we’ll stick with #DMARC. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐭? DMARC protects your sending domain from being impersonated. It sets the rules for what happens when an email claims to be from your domain and doesn’t check out. For example, you can say: If it checks out → Deliver If it looks suspicious → Quarantine If it fails → Reject 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫? If someone can send emails as you, every trust relationship you have is at risk. "But we already have SPF and DKIM. Do we need DMARC?" Let's think of it like a ticket attendant at an MLB game. (𝘎𝘰 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴!) SPF = Is your ticket from an authorized seller? DKIM = Has the ticket been altered or forged? DMARC = The ticket attendant enforcing stadium policy when something doesn’t scan correctly. DMARC protects your domain at the source, before trust is exploited downstream.
