Still holding funds
So they have been holding funds for over 180 days. The funds had been paid to us by a charity we have worked with for over five years. All information provided but still no payment.
Constant promises of call backs and emails but nothing ever happens.
Spoke to them on the 27th at 9am and was told they would call back with an update, no email and no phone call received.
I am writing to express my extreme frustration with your response. My bank has confirmed multiple times, including via formal letter, that they have never received the refund you claim was processed.
I have already gone back and forth with the bank nearly ten times regarding this matter. It is unacceptable that Teya continues to insist the funds were returned when the recipient institution has no record of them. As previously stated, the original card was cancelled, and the bank has confirmed no funds appeared in their system.
Please be advised that I am not letting this matter rest. I will publish this matter on all the relevant platforms. HSBC as an institution cannot lie . I still cannot help thinking that TEYA instead of protecting service users are seizing funds and manipulating customers .

Teya withheld £9,533 of my company’s funds despite being provided with the customer invoice, signed agreement, proof of completed works, payment evidence, and customer satisfaction confirmation.
This caused serious cash-flow issues for my company.
The issue was not resolved directly with Teya as they stated they would hold the funds for 180 days, and the matter had to be escalated to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
During the investigation, the Ombudsman repeatedly requested information from Teya and provided multiple extensions for responses. Despite this, there were continued delays in communication and progressing the case.
After almost three months, the Financial Ombudsman Service ruled in my favour. The full funds were returned and compensation was paid.
I am posting this review as a factual account of my experience.
If you experience similar issues with withheld funds or unresolved complaints, I would strongly recommend escalating the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Abigail Thompson is the literal example of a perfect customer support agent. Diligent, caring, knowledgable and someone who cares about their customers and who put in the time and effort to resolve customers issues with the least amount of timewasting or extra delays and issues. Teya - you should give this woman a raise and get her to teach the other support staff how to properly interract with and work with customers!
