About us

Renaissance is a global leader in edtech with a clear mission: to accelerate learning for all children and adults of all ability levels and ethnic and social backgrounds, worldwide. From its beginnings in 1986, Renaissance has grown and now, each year, millions of books are read and online assessments completed by tens of thousands of schools around the world using Renaissance solutions. GL Education became a Renaissance company in 2023. Together, we are creating something new: a connected suite of products that help teachers accurately identify student needs and adapt teaching to ensure all students build the skills they need for success. Our educational assessments are designed to show teachers where students are in their learning, highlight their strengths and challenges, and help pinpoint areas of need. Our teaching and learning tools then help teachers tailor their teaching to meet the needs of each child. When our products are used together, they provide a continuous cycle for improving teaching, learning and outcomes, helping schools and school groups deliver measurable success at scale. Teachers trust our established products – including Accelerated Reader, CAT4, PASS and Nearpod – because they work. We can offer more support, better solutions and deeper analysis of what makes a difference in education. Every solution we create still aims to make teaching more effective and learning more achievable.

What a fantastic few days spent at the #COBIS26 Annual Conference in London with Alex Kingsley & Alex McLean 🇬🇧 It was great to connect with so many schools exploring how data and insight can drive meaningful impact across their school communities. One of the standout highlights for me was the silent seminar today, ‘’Turning Insight Into Action - Using PASS To Strengthen Student Wellbeing’’. Renaissance International’s PASS Wellbeing Survey provides schools with a powerful way to capture authentic student voice, uncover hidden barriers to learning, and take targeted, evidence-based action to support wellbeing and engagement. The conversations throughout the conference reinforced just how committed schools are to creating environments where every student can thrive .. academically, emotionally, and socially. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to connect over the last few days. 🌍 COBIS - Council of British International Schools #COBIS2026 #StudentWellbeing #PASSSurvey #Education #InternationalSchools #RenaissanceLearning #GLEducation #StudentVoice
