Home and DIY follows a different pattern entirely, reflecting longer planning horizons as people get stuck into projects over the extra day, with spend peaking on Saturday. Today will be a big one for grocers. At Zilch, we're expecting to process over £2m in grocery sales alone, before shoppers shift attention to home and garden as the weekend gets going.
