  • Remote operations aren’t held back by technology, but by how quickly industry can move from interest to driving implementation 💡 In a recent webinar focused on driving adoption of remote operations in energy, Graeme Booth, Head of Digital Technology, highlighted that the key driver for change is now the huge potential for OPEX savings. With increasing system complexity and the need to manage a growing number of energy assets with fewer operators, both locally and globally, now is the time to reconsider your remote operations strategy. For remote operations to work, we need to apply whole-system thinking, reuse what’s been learnt by others, and apply that learning across sectors instead of reinventing the wheel. NZTC’s Advancing Remote Operations (ARO) work shows what’s possible, from field trials to practical tools that help organisations move toward remote management and control. If remote operations are your end goal but you’re unsure where to start, get in touch and we can help you take the next step. ▶️ Watch the webinar replay to hear Graeme’s perspective on the future and what to focus on now: https://bit.ly/4uhuCiP

  • The development of deepwater and floating wind technologies is essential to accelerate deployment, reduce costs and realise the potential UK economic opportunity. The Floating Wind Executive (FLOWEX) is driving the next phase of the UK’s floating offshore wind vision. As part of Mission 5, the Floating Offshore Wind (FLOW) Taskforce is developing a Deepwater & Floating Wind Innovation Roadmap to align innovation and funding for maximum UK impact. A critical priority for this mission is ensuring strategic industry alignment. This includes building a clear understanding of current innovation activity across all industry areas and stakeholders. ➡️ If your organisation works in floating or deepwater wind, please complete this form to share details of your activity: https://bit.ly/4lGzUAA ➡️ For more information visit: https://bit.ly/4bRm6Qq Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult | RenewableUK | Department for Energy Security and Net Zero

  • Developer spotlight: 💧 Current solutions for offshore electrolyser installations require significant amounts of fresh water and depend on costly materials, hindering scalability. Latent Drive's ‘SeaStack’ technology is a game-changing seawater-to-hydrogen electrolyser with a unique cell design to leverage the properties of seawater, eliminating the need for water purification and significantly reducing costs. SeaStack enables the offshore production of hydrogen, capturing more wind energy at lower costs, and paving the way for more efficient and sustainable green hydrogen generation.
