This week we hosted Emeritus Prof. Anthony Walton, former Director of the Scottish Microelectronics Centre. Anthony was a pivotal figure in the development and manufacture of SCUBA-2 (Submillimetre Common-User Bolometer Array 2), one of the largest and most sensitive sub-millimetre #camera instruments mounted on the James Clark Maxwell #telescope in #Hawaii. Anthony was fascinated to meet some of the Centre for Electronics Frontiers and APRIL AI Hub researchers and hear all about their work advancing electronics with #AI.
