Keeping our assets stronger for longer is central to how we approach production.💪 In practice, that means focusing on base management and operational reliability, so we get more from the assets we already have. This way of working helps keep production steady, reduces the need for new investment, and keeps energy flowing as global demand rises. Read how this approach is being applied across our operations in our latest Energy in Focus article.⬇️ https://on.bp.com/41McbWB

It’s day one in my new role – and it’s an honour to join bp. Here’s a short clip from a video I shared with the team today. bp is a great company, built on the strength of remarkable people and world-class assets. Right now, we’re operating in an environment of significant complexity: geopolitical tension, conflict, rapid technological change and shifting global energy demand. There are no simple answers, but we have a clear job: delivering energy to the world, today and tomorrow. We’ve made strong progress on our short-term targets to 2027, but there’s always more to do. I believe we can safely accelerate performance – and drive innovation, sustainability and growth. I’m really excited about this next chapter and our potential to grow value for bp shareholders. But first, I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome!

We’ve agreed to sell the Gelsenkirchen refinery in Germany to Klesch Group. This is another significant strategic milestone as we work to simplify our portfolio, strengthen the balance sheet and focus the downstream on our leading integrated businesses. Once completed, the sale will increase bp’s structural cost reduction target by around $1 billion – taking it to $6.5-7.5 billion by 2027. Read more: https://on.bp.com/4bvOwOy

New Gas Consortium achieves gas delivery ⚡ Gas delivery from the Quiluma field has officially begun, following the introduction of gas into the onshore processing plant in November 2025. Initial exports start at 150 MMSCF/day, with production expected to ramp up to 330 MMSCF/day by the end of 2026. This milestone results from the strong collaboration between ANPG and the New Gas Consortium partners: Azule Energy (operator), CABGOC, Sonangol E&P, and TotalEnergies, and represents a major step forward in harnessing natural gas as a strategic national resource, while supporting cleaner power generation, strengthening the country’s energy mix, and enabling long-term energy security. At the peak of construction, more than 5,000 Angolan workers were mobilized across multiple yards, contributing to the successful delivery of one of the most significant energy infrastructure projects in the country.
