Combined Naval Event is, once again, proving itself to be one of the most valuable conferences in the calendar for the defence maritime community. An impactful keynote from the First Sea Lord General Sir Gwyn Jenkins on day one reminded us that the future navy is leaner, more autonomous, and built around integrated, multi-domain operations. At BMT, we're committed to enabling the hybrid Navy, end to end. If you're attending CNE today, join us on C05 at 10.30 for our daily "micro‑brief" on how BMT helps turn hybrid Navy ambition into fieldable capability. Today's brief is on MODUS: BMT’s modular uncrewed ship concept with Andrew Kimber, Chief Naval Architect. Afterwards, take a seat in Theatre B, a short distance from our stand, where Jake Rigby will present on Beyond the Box: Integrating PODS Capability at Pace at 11:25am. Our micro-brief will be repeated at 15.45, and Jake will be on hand throughout the day, in case you miss either of these. Have a great show. Thanks to Defence Leaders and Oliver Whitlock.

As the maritime industry transitions to low‑carbon fuels such as hydrogen, ammonia, methanol and LNG, safety cannot be an afterthought! These fuels introduce new risks alongside new opportunities, demanding smarter design and a whole‑system approach. In the latest issue of The Naval Architect, Dr Thomas Beard, BMT's Clean Maritime Lead, discusses how layered protection, robust naval architecture and regulatory understanding are helping the industry decarbonise without compromising safety. Our thanks to Amy McLellan and The Naval Architect for the editorial and for the cover feature of BMT’s 35m MPA Guardian, a hybrid‑electric patrol and emergency response vessel designed by BMT and built by Penguin International Limited. 👉Read 'Safety First for New Fuels' to explore what it takes to design ships that are cleaner, compliant and resilient in an uncertain fuel future. https://bit.ly/4u9ojh1 #Decarbonisation #ShipDesign #FutureFuels #NewFuels #MarineSafety #TheNavalArchitect Royal Institution of Naval Architects

Day 1 at #OTC2026 may have started at a steady pace, but it quickly turned into a day full of meaningful conversations and valuable connections across the offshore energy community. It’s been great to see strong engagement at our stand, with our subject matter experts connecting directly with visitors to explore challenges and opportunities across marine monitoring and offshore operations. We’re continuing those conversations into Day 2, excited to resume connection with industry. If you’re attending OTC, come by Booth 1561 and speak with our team about how our tailored sensor-to-insight solutions are helping operators turn complex data into actionable intelligence through integrated marine monitoring systems. We’re also giving an early look at our new Marine Instrumentation System Assistant — designed to radically improve how users access, interact with, and experience their offshore system information and data. Looking forward to more great discussions today! #OTC2026 #OffshoreEnergy #MarineTechnology #DigitalTransformation #SensorToInsight

We’re a week away from the start of #OTC2026, where we’ll be giving an early look at the BMT Marine Instrumentation System Assistant — a new conversational AI assistant designed to help offshore monitoring teams get to answers faster. Across the offshore platforms we support, critical monitoring information is often spread across channel definitions, dependency graphs, coordinate systems, O&M documentation, and data sources connected to BMT Deep. The BMT Marine Instrumentation System Assistant is designed to help users navigate that landscape more efficiently through natural-language questions. Visit us at Booth 1561to explore this latest innovation in real-time and learn how this tool allows you to: • Talk to your data • Visualize trends instantly • Access critical system information quickly • Utilize secure, role-based access • Learn and improve together Experience the next generation of asset integrity management with us at OTC 2026!
