We’re urging stakeholders across the energy sector to complete the Scottish Transformation Readiness Index, a national benchmark survey led by the University of Aberdeen and partners. ⏳ The survey is anonymous, takes just ten minutes, and closes on 1 June. A meaningful and representative energy‑sector analysis depends on strong participation from organisations like ours. If industry voices are missing, the final picture will be incomplete, and so will Scotland’s understanding of its own readiness. AREG team were pleased to attend the All-Energy Exhibition and Conference 2026, at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, celebrating its 25th anniversary as the UK’s leading renewable and low carbon energy event. The exhibition brought together over 300 exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals, showcasing the latest innovations across offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydrogen, marine energy, and energy storage. Yesterday’s Through the Generations session brought together young professionals, mid‑career specialists and senior leaders for an open, honest discussion about how careers in the energy sector are built, challenged and reshaped over time. The conversation, led by our YP Network Chair Aspen Kissinger (FENNEX) featured insights from Katie Forman TechIOSH (Peterson Energy Logistics), Michael Shaw (2H Offshore) and Philip Imperiale (AREG Director). Each offered a distinct perspective on navigating progression in a sector undergoing rapid transformation, from staying adaptable and developing future‑focused skills to understanding how opportunities across the North East are shifting through the transition. Across the discussion, one theme stood out: the North East continues to cultivate the talent, ambition and technical capability needed to lead Scotland’s evolving energy landscape.
