Two days with 100+ students in cross-disciplinary teams. Where fresh ideas turned into prototypes in less than 48 hours.
This week, we hosted Stockholm University’s first ideathon together with students, mentors, jury members, partners and sponsors. The energy throughout the event was incredible to witness.
What started as conversations between strangers quickly became teamwork, problem solving, late-night building sessions and 5 teams made it to the live pitches in front of a jury.
During the ideathon, we saw:
- students from completely different backgrounds collaborate around shared challenges
- ideas evolve from rough thoughts into functioning prototypes built in Lovable
- teams practice communication, creativity, leadership and decision-making under pressure
- participants step outside their usual roles and discover new strengths
This was never only about technology. But more about creating a space where students could test ideas, build together and gain hands-on experience in turning knowledge into action.
A huge thank you to every student who participated with curiosity, courage and commitment. You are the reason this became something special. ❤️
And thank you to everyone who helped make it possible:
Our Drivhuset team: Mathilda Fyhr (project lead), Jady Pamella (hackathon pro), Sarra Mahjoub (content queen), Robin Dagdeviren (pitch coach), Adrian Glinqvist (ideation master).
Our partners and sponsors - for believing in the importance of creating spaces where students from different disciplines can meet, build and learn together: Stockholms universitet, Lovable, Kista Science City, NEXLY AB
Our mentors and screening jury - for guiding, challenging and supporting the teams throughout the process: Kajsa Norin, Zugania Zuniga, Yasmin Andersson, Monica Ekberg, Liudmiła Gapeyeva, Claudia Kielkopf, Lovisa Lindstaf, Josefin Erséus, David Johansson, Anna Unander
Our pitch-jury members - for thoughtful feedback, great questions and encouragement: Anna Lindbäck, Carolina Lind, Sakarias Strand, Tom Yates, Carl Carlheim-Gyllensköld
The volunteers - for being our extra eyes and arms, this would have been a lot more stressful without you: Anam Zaheer, Warsha Kiringoda, Sevinch Saydullaeva, Sarasi Attanayake, Heaven Weldeslasie, Becka Chen, Efe-Osa Osawaru Oyelade, Pascal Kalungu, Nikou Yousefzadeh Gandovani, Dasith Sethiya, @isak dahlin
One of the most rewarding parts for us was seeing conversations continue long after the final pitches ended. New connections, new collaborations and hopefully the beginning of many future ideas.
We are incredibly proud to have hosted Stockholm University’s first ideathon - and this feels like only the beginning. 🚀
