𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗪𝗣-𝗙𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 The Valhall project’s MEG module, weighing approximately 1,000 tonnes, has been completed at Nymo’s yard in Grimstad. The delivery represents a key milestone for the project, which is expected to start up in 2027. The MEG module is a critical part of the processing facilities, enabling regeneration and reuse of monoethylene glycol, a chemical that prevents hydrate formation and ensures safe and stable gas transportation. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐄𝐆 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞. This weekend, the MEG module took a major step forward at Vikkilen, as it was successfully transferred from yard to barge. Following a carefully planned operation, the 1000 tonnes module was positioned onto the barge using SPMTs – a highly skilled operation executed by Sarens in close coordination with our teams on site. Seeing the module in place and ready for the next phase marks an important milestone – a reminder of what can be achieved through solid planning, teamwork and execution across the Nymo team and partners, with close involvement from NOV Process Systems and Aker BP ASA. A milestone worth marking ⭐ Today, we gathered in Hall 1 at Vikkilen to mark the sail away phase of the MEG Module, with lunch served for around 500 people. The setting may have been industrial, but the occasion was something else – a well-deserved moment to recognise the effort, commitment and collaboration behind the delivery. We truly appreciate the strong partnership with NOV Process Systems and Aker BP ASA, and the words shared during the lunch - highlighting teamwork, trust and safe execution.
