Managing Director of Bergen Engines, Jon Erik Røv, recently participated in a breakfast seminar hosted by Bergen Næringsråd together with PwC at Kulturhuset in Bergen, where the topic was how businesses can strengthen resilience and preparedness in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape. The seminar brought together industry representatives to discuss topics such as security and preparedness, supply chain resilience, reducing vulnerability, and how companies can adapt to changing global conditions. During the event, Jon Erik presented how Bergen Engines works strategically and operationally to build a robust and resilient organization in a rapidly evolving international market. As global #energy markets continue to change, Bergen Engines is experiencing increasing demand across several markets, while also navigating a more complex landscape shaped by regulatory requirements, cybersecurity, emissions standards, and geopolitics. This requires close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and authorities, as well as continuous focus on adaptability, compliance, and long-term resilience. At the same time, Bergen Engines continues to strengthen its operations in Bergen through investments in production capacity, competence, and supplier collaboration in Norway and Europe. Bergen Engines has been selected by Liberty Energy to deliver more than 500MW of on-site power generation for large-scale AI data center developments across the United States. The delivery includes 45 x B36:45V20 gensets. As #AI workloads continue to scale, access to reliable power is becoming increasingly critical. Developers are looking for available power when and where it’s needed; not when the grid allows it. Combined with Piller Power Systems’ #SHIELDX dynamic power stabilization, our medium-speed engine technology provides scalable, conditioned power for high-performance data center operations. Testing is now underway onboard Havila Capella 🌊🔊 With the first measurement campaign completed along the Norwegian coast, LOWNOISER is gathering real-world data to understand better and reduce underwater noise from ships. We are very pleased to welcome Havila Kystruten to the project. Operating across different modes, from LNG to battery, Havila Capella provides valuable insight into how vessel operations affect the soundscape below the surface. These photos capture the testing carried out by Kongsberg Maritime and TSI -Técnicas y Servicios de Ingeniería S.L. Through advanced sensors, onboard measurements and close collaboration at sea, the project is building the knowledge needed for quieter maritime operations. Underwater noise cannot be seen.
