𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿! Last week, we opened our doors to over 50 students for the first edition of the Kennispark Talent Tour. During the company visit, our colleague Emma van Geel introduced Demcon. Afterwards, our colleagues Joost ter Haar (Demcon focal), Tom Baumeister (Demcon life sciences & health) and Geert Folkertsma (Demcon defense & security systems) hosted a demonstration, giving the students an inside look at Demcon and our innovations. In the afternoon, colleagues from Demcon suster hosted a tour for ROC students in laboratory research through their high pressure lab at the University of Twente. In addition, our headquarters hosted the ALV for Kennispark Ondernemers, followed by the closing food and drinks for both the entrepreneurs and registered students. It was a great opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and reflect on an inspiring day. We truly enjoyed sharing what we do and were inspired by the curiosity, enthusiasm, and thoughtful questions of these young innovators. Hopefully, we sparked a few ambitions along the way!

This month our colleagues once again conquered the TU Delft campus during the Survivalstrijd 2026! Not only did they all make it to the finish line, they absolutely crushed it. Water, sand, obstacles and even hanging upside down? Nothing could slow them down. Through collaboration and teamwork they made it to the finish line together. And of course, the annual team photo in T-shirts that started out white, but told a very different story by the end, couldn’t be missed! After the training session, a behind‑the‑scenes stadium tour was of course a must, followed by a FIFA tournament for those who still had energy left to burn. An experience to never forget. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸 #𝟴𝟰 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗧/𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁 MT/Sprout assessed the most innovative companies in the Netherlands, ranking them across several categories. We’re proud to share that this year we achieved an 84th position in the overall Innovatie300 ranking. Within our own industry, we reached a 4th place, alongside a 20th place in the “Groot MKB” company category. The Innovatie300 highlights not only the innovative strength and global position of the Netherlands as an innovation-driven country, but also underlines the importance of continued investment to remain competitive at the top. With the Dutch innovation sector being responsible for a significant amount of innovations in important sectors like the medical field and electrical installations, we’re proud to contribute to these figures and to help keep Dutch innovation at the forefront of the international market. 👏 A big thank you to everyone who makes this possible. Vanmiddag ontvingen wij Staatssecretaris van Defensie - Derk Boswijk op Technology Base Enschede. Dank voor zijn bezoek en zijn interesse in Twente, en voor de gelegenheid om de kracht van het Twentse bedrijfsleven te laten zien. We werken intensief samen om kennis en innovatie te vertalen naar concrete toepassingen voor maatschappelijke en defensievraagstukken. Technology Base speelt hierin een belangrijke rol als plek waar ruimte is voor ontwikkeling, samenwerking, testen en opschaling. In combinatie met sterke kennisinstellingen, gespecialiseerde bedrijven en een strategische ligging vormt dit een unieke propositie binnen Nederland en Europa. De kracht van Twente zit in het geheel: bedrijven met diepgaande expertise, sterke kennisinstellingen én de ruimte om te ontwikkelen — maar bovenal in de manier waarop we samenwerken en samen realiseren. This week we joined the ambassadors’ lunch of FC Twente Vrouwen. Around the table were players, staff and organizations that all believe in the same thing: pushing women’s football forward. Talking about what’s next, where we want to grow and how we can make impact together made this lunch much more than just a nice gathering. We also received an in‑depth preview of the plans for Sportcampus Diekman and the new facilities FC Twente is working towards. A strong step forward in further professionalizing women’s football, built on equal opportunities and top‑level support. As our representative Emma van Geel described it: “The lunch was filled with positive energy and excitement for what’s ahead. Hearing the plans makes us even more proud to be part of this journey and to call ourselves a partner of FC Twente Vrouwen.” 💙
𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗖 𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗩𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘄𝗲𝗻 💫 Dinsdag stond in het teken van verbinding tijdens de ambassadeurslunch van FC Twente Vrouwen. Partners, speelsters, staf en directie kwamen samen bij de Oranjerie Ruurlo van Van Berkel Hospitality voor een gezamenlijke lunch. Een mooi moment waarop relaties elkaar spraken en de betrokkenheid rondom FC Twente Vrouwen opnieuw zichtbaar werd. Daarnaast werd stilgestaan bij Sportcampus Diekman. Met gelijkwaardige faciliteiten zetten we een mooie stap in het verder professionaliseren van ons vrouwenvoetbal. We kijken terug op een geslaagde middag.

Mechanical engineer Tess Van Pelt reveals how she helped transform an idea into Haermonics Pure™: a system designed to prevent postoperative complications caused by residual blood and clots in the pericardial cavity. Together, Demcon and Haermonics developed an innovative flush‑therapy that aims to make these complications a thing of the past. For Tess, the impact is tangible. Contributing to a device that will stand in the OR and support critical care teams is a rare opportunity and offers a unique behind‑the‑scenes look at innovation in the most critical hospital environments. Last Thursday, April 16th 2026, I had again the pleasure to represent Demcon data driven solutions at the FSE STEM Career Day in Maastricht. I had plenty of engaging interactions with interested students, both at our booth and after my talk showcasing our deep learning, algorithmic, and synthetic-data expertise. We are glad to be part of the group of companies presenting there. I would like to thank FSE Alumni Office - Rafaela Frijns and Adrian Fiutowski for the organization, as well as the various (student) staff members that helped out during the event. It is really nice to see how consistently the FSE STEM Career Day event is growing year by year!

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝟬 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆! 🏃♀️➡️ Under almost perfect weather conditions, with an amazing atmosphere and loud cheering along the route, our colleagues ran their respective distances. For some it was their first time competing in a running event, for others the chance to break their personal records.
