⚠️🌀CYCLONE EVACUATION OPTIONS What to do if you don’t feel safe staying home… - Seek shelter with family, friends or neighbours. - If you don’t have that option, you are encouraged to plan now and consider finding shelter further south (i.e. Perth). - The nearest evacuation centre to Mingenew will be the Geraldton Basketball Courts (Activewest Stadium) – 238 Eighth Street, Wonthella. However, please check EmergencyWA for detail on when it will be open and note there will be limited capacity and travel restrictions likely in place. Shire Office Closure – Friday 27 March 🚫 Due to the approaching Tropical Cyclone Narelle, the Shire Office will be closed tomorrow, Friday 27 March, to allow staff time to prepare their own homes and families. Our team will remain available for phone calls until 12:00pm. After this time, any emergency calls will be redirected through our after-hours system and forwarded to the appropriate staff member.
