I've heard from other P/H who are quite happy and I also like the tv adverts.
Policies in a complete muddle. Three policies in place when there should have been one combined policy.

Declined my theft claim of my £1500+ mountain bike because I could not provide a receipt for the chain that was on the bike, proving it was "sold secure" despite me providing photos of the chain and key.

I’ve been a loyal customer for a few years with multiple vehicles, but my recent experience has really changed my view. After reporting an incident, I was surprised to find that my premium was increased simply for notifying them of what had happened, even before a claim had been made. This felt unfair and not clearly explained at the time.
When I did go on to make a claim, I felt that my account of events was quickly dismissed and I was told my version of what happened was “unlikely.” I was then placed at fault without what felt like a fair or thorough consideration of the situation.
When I asked for the case to be reviewed, I was told there was nothing further that could be done. This was particularly disappointing given I’ve been with them for a number of years and expected a more supportive and balanced approach, especially during a stressful situation like a claim.
Felt really let down by the process and unsupported when I expected my insurer to act in my corner. I will be moving my insurance elsewhere and have already found a cheaper alternative.

My son was informed by Admiral that he had been in an accident on a day when he wasn't even driving his car. The gentleman in the claims department said not to worry and it would all be looked into and assured us it wouldn't go against him in any way or put up his insurance.
This was 8 weeks ago and have just had the renewal quoted which has gone from £650 to £1100! When I called to query why the amount has gone up I was told this was due to the "accident" and she could bring the price down by only £100 which is ridiculous because he didn't even have an accident. When I explained this the lady just kept saying she didn't deal with the claims side of things.
As we hadn't heard anything regarding the false claim I called today only to be told oh yes it was mistaken identity and the accident actually happened in SCOTLAND which is an 8 hour drive away! So were they going to let us know about this if I hadn't phoned them???
I have been told that we will receive an email to confirm this has been taken off the accident data base but nothing received as yet. This is all very worrying as you have to declare if you've been in an accident to new insurers so we really need this false claim removed. It's been terribly stressful and no updates from Admiral unless YOU call THEM. I feel the service is very poor and communication diabolical so I would avoid using them as you don't want people falsely claiming you have been in an accident and it being on your records when you wasn't even driving your car. If I could give no stars I would 🤬🤬🤬

The policy is very clear and states the amounts for each claim item. In addition, it is a trustworthy company.

I only recently got cover with Admiral, 3 days, and unfortunately my car was stolen within 3 days and 2 nights, without care of the timeframe I had been with them, this company sprung straight into action into proceeding with my claim, they have been absolutely brilliant so far, always polite, always keeping in touch and keeping me up to date, the service is incredible and everyone always checks to make sure I understand what is happening, I spoke to Josh this morning who is handling my claim, and again he was very polite, clear and helpful. I would 100% recommend this company, and will be very keen to stay with this company for the future.

Don’t know there on policy’s and as a customer doesn’t feel you with any comfort then when there at fault they put the blame on the customer stay well clear of this company

Pet insurance; been with them nearly 6 years; my cats (3 Number) have just turned 6 years old. My premiums have escalated from £35 a month to £56. Never made a claim. They justified this by saying well they are a year older now. Have received premiums from other insurers for £29 a month in total for all 3; same terms. When i cancelled was told i would receive my refund for one month paid of £55.98 within 7-10 days; they refunded £18.66. So had to chase them again and been told up to 14 days for the balance to be paid back. Do your homework and shop around before choosing Admiral. They sure as hell will be my very last choice moving forward.

Most incompetent insurance company out there.
Try Hastings or AA instead.
