When you sign on to a new website and have to create a password, there is no better way to do it than by visiting Random.org. Directions like "at least 12 characters" scare me. If they also say "Do not use a word found in the dictionary," I'm toast. Random.org gives me answers. Nothing with confusing combinations (bad enough that it's RANDOM letters and numbers). I have been using this site for years! All my passwords come back at 3 million years to crack. Here's a sample NF6d7ugGUUCLPE2 (if you need to add a special character, you can do it yourself!).

Random.org is one heck of a resource, one that I always dreamed about. I am only using it to entertain and educate myself but it's an invaluable tool with huge potential. Top quality! I look forward to what the future brings in terms of new features!

Their language is in plain & clear English. They avoid trying to blind with science the ordinary person lacking in their skills & knowledge.

The API works great! I use it in webapps and IOS apps. No issues as of yet. Implementation is easy. The documentation is great and if you have questions you can email and get a response. The use of atmosphere noise to generate randomness is new to me and I am blown away of the ingenuity and generosity of the team to make this available for people to create apps. The website has great resources to learn more too. Projects like this is what makes humans create new and amazing things.Thank you for this.

I enjoy using random.org for choosing numbers for the various lotteries I enjoy playing. I believe I get more randomness from the website than I do from the lottery machines.

I also emailed support about a recent change to the Mega Millions Lottery and received a prompt reply and fix of the website the same day (weekend too)!

Their use of atmospheric noise in preference to a pseudo-generator is a plus and they cover most of the major lotteries with drop-down menus. We have had several small wins. They are having problems with selecting zeros but we understand this is being fixed. Recommended.

Long lived site providing a needed service to the world we live in.

I have been using this site for well over 10 years. The tech behind their random number generation is simple and rock solid.

I use the Random.org app all the time and it is fantastic. I can roll a dice, flip a coin, randomize a todo list as well as, of course, generate a number. I also contacted customer service recently with a suggestion and got a very quick response. Would recommend.

I used this service today and I am an old man (81) . I was able to use their tools but had a little trouble understanding how to set it up. I asked for help and got excellent help.

Honest true randomness software!

Great app. Good online site too. Everything you need for randomising. The only improvement I can think of would be a way of transferring your data (lists etc) when it's time for a new phone. Other than that - superb service and, on the odd occasion over several years when the app has suffered "downtime" I have received a personal, friendly email. Definitely recommended

I love Random org for generating random numbers for all sorts of reasons (such as my next book to read - yes, I'm a nerd). Recently I'd had trouble accessing it, and when I contacted them I got a personal answer really quickly and it was all sorted out! A great resource!

I use this site as an educator to facilitate probability experiments for my middle school students. It's way nicer to flip a bunch of coins or roll lots of dice numerous times in a row by clicking a button than by actually having kids tossing coins all over the classroom. This way we can concentrate on recording and studying the results of our experiments rather than on the physical coins, cards, dice, etc. We also use the random number generator to design simulations for more complicated situations.
