Europe’s Defence Industry Must Wake Up Based on the frontline experiences shared by @5.0Robotics in Ukraine, it is clear that the traditional military supply chain—essentially unchanged since the First World War—is no longer sufficient. The modern battlefield demands unprecedented speed, adaptability, and technological integration. Our defence industries cannot afford to think in terms of years. They must scale up and deliver within months. Rapid production cycles, flexible logistics, and innovative collaboration models are now critical to ensuring Europe’s security and resilience in the face of evolving threats. This is the core of my message to the forum: Europe must embrace a new defence paradigm where speed and scale define our ability to respond and protect.
